5 year contract, first year not in the champions league. To qualify for the CL this season they need to finish ahead of at least 6 teams that finished ahead of them last season. 7 to avoid the play off. They have not made a lot of signings and one of them is David Luiz. They will have their work cut out to finish above Man City, Arsenal and United that is not even considering Spurs a strong looking Liverpool and Everton looking to do a Leicester. Far from certain that Chelsea will finish top 4, if they don't then Conte will be gone, and Kante could well be sold, dropped, injured or really unhappy having to share a dressing room with Diego Costa. He may never get to realise a dream that he had already achieved.

If he doesn't play in the champions league within 5 years I'll give £100 to a charity of your choice.

I be surprised if he even playing tonight I assume its b sides for both teams

Chelsea don't have any European Competition, they'll put a strong side out. Whether Kante plays, not sure, because they've the likes of Fabregas who'll come in.

Liverpool are in the same boat and Klopp played a full team against Burton Albion in the last round.

He could still live near John Terry and commute to Leicester.

Yeah, but they're still a 'big club' remember

I'm not going, but I'd neither clap nor boo. If Wasyl were to two foot him into the advertising hoardings I wouldn't be too upset, however.

I would rather see him fail to win a single tackle than get roughed up by the Marcinator.

He moved supposedly to be closer to his wife. Doubt he would want Terry as a neighbour...

The club and the fans owe kantè nothing. Yes he helped the club win the league. And for that. He will be forever in the club's history. I can't go to the game. But if was there I would treat him like I don't know him. No cheering and No booing from me. He chose to leave. I chose to forget about him. If he deserves a cheering. Vardy and mahrez should get a statue in front of the king power. He chose to leave us for a "bigger club". While the the player of the season and the 24 goals in the season stayed. on words and up words :vardy::riyad:

cant compare vardy/mahrez decision not to leave with kantes decision to go.

  • all at different stages of their career
  • vardy joined from non league and been here longer, mahrez been here a while too
  • kante didnt want to join us in the first place

bizarre we should forget a player just because he left for another club, whether or not he chose to leave.

vardy, mahrez and everyone else are being rewarded handsomely for staying. We no longer pay kantes wages.

dont let hate/bitterness/jealousy cloud the fact he was an incredible player for us and that should be appreciated, for 30 seconds at least, after his name is announced (if he does feature in the chelsea squad)

then we go onwards and upwards:thumbup:

Kante did a great job for us. I think he made a huge error of judgement going to Chelsea, but it is understandable why he went - he is a young lad who knows little about England who was tempted away by a so-called "big club" in the capital.

London has a massive French community these days and he will gain lots of friends down there.

We should applaud him for the great work he did for us.

Who knows, he might return?

I have none of those feelings towards kantè and that is that. He left so I chose to let him go. I will never never ever cheer for him (if I could be there of course). It was a give and take relationship. He owes nothing to the club and fans and the fans and the club owe him nothing too. He only played 1 season with the team( and it was the greatest season in the history of the club). He was only here for the good part. If mahrez/vardy have left. Then I would be happy cheering thier names because they played through the good, the bad and the ugly. But for him. Nahh FAM. That is not for me

Hammond didn't jump ship for some extra money to a club that has been funded by one of the worlds richest men, with the fakes supporters known in football.

Kante is just another mercenary and we are well shot of him, Hammond had dignity and respect for our club.

Kante from his perceived behaviour has neither of those things, the fact he leaves the champions of England for a club not even in Europe, tells you exactly the sort of person he is, the sort we desperately do not want here.

I think I dislike him more than Mark Draper for going to Villa.

Disliking him is fine, but you should ati show respect for what he achieved. Football is a thickle sport, Kante won't be the last to do this to our club and unfortunately anyone in the squad is capable of it if the right offer comes.

The point that you make about them being at different stages of their careers just makes it even worse that Kante left.

He's so young and has many years of playing top flight football ahead of him that another season with us really would not of done his career any harm at all.

Must say I felt a fuzzy feeling when I saw his little face back at the KP. Glad he didn't play though.

Players were loving him.

"Kante what's the score" was always going to be a bit premature against a good side.

When the cameras were on him in the away dugout he looked tight-lipped as if he didn't know what to do or how to react. Felt awkward for all parties.

Anyone notice he didn't even come out to warm up? Don't know why but him & Courtois the only 2 not to warm up.

Not only that, he didn't even come out in the pre-match huddle for extra time.

Yeh cos he is gutless.  He has already made a public rant about Chelsea. Your loss kunte

He will feature in the league game when Chelsea visit us. So those desperate to boo him can do so.

Grown men calling him Kunte repeatedly are embarrassing.
