Next England Manager?

I think give it to Eddie Howe - let a young manager grow with a young team - sod this experience malarkey where every manager is an unfit 60 plus year old veteran - let's get some fire and determination in the team rather than old men on a pay cheque coming to the England Managers role with the same old squads and trying to die or retire in the job whilst getting rich with weird football selections based on the biggest names and formations which even the players don't understand. Eddie has surpassed the norm in getting to where he is at his age. That's not an accident, give him the chance to be exceptional and beyond the norm in his next role.

eddie howe is still learning his trade, i like how he always wants his teams to play passing fottball but they are also defensively suspect. we don't want to heap to much preesure on young English managers early in their carreers and he will have ample time to get the England job one day. if he takes it now it could destroy him, managerial wise

I wouldn't take it if I were Eddie Howe.

I do think Howe will be the right guy, but not right now.

I think he needs a couple of years at a bigger club with bigger pressures.

There is no pressure on Howe at Bournemouth. It's easier to perform in that sort of environment. Similar to Ranieri last season. We didn't need to win the league whereas the sides like Arsenal and Man City did.

To counteract the irony of multi millionaires turning out for their country when they would obviously rather be on a beach in the carribean there is only one choice.

Mike Bassett.

Pretty sure he's been publically involved in some form of corruption scandal?

England FA is just turning into a laughing stock of epic proportions.

The teams been crap for decades,no matter who's in charge they are still shit.

Does every nation HAVE to compete? They just need a sabbatical and have a rest for about 15 years!!!

Feel for the England fans who travel to watch this shower...even an average League 2 club have their ups over such a long period...This should be a soap opera on primetime TV!!!

Just disband the national team altogether imo - Would save years of further suffering and embarrassment.

Make a GB team, then let the Scots/Welsh and Irish Managers compete for the job.

English cop out..It will  always be their fault....simples.:P

Well whoever it is we can rest assured that Rooney will still be made captain for some weird reason- as confirmed by Southgate!

Just give it Dave Beckham so at least we have someone we like. Who cares about results at this point.

deffo this. becks or stevie g. it's not like the managers pick the team or have any influence on anything, and at least they are both likeable and would look great in that england suit.

If we got the Eddie Howe Bournemouth get it would be great, but we wouldn't.  The job would kill him at this stage.

Be too much of an huge step, think he would need the experience of managing a bigger club with bigger expectations before thinking about the England job.
