He's more than earned enough time to change things, but there's absolutely no sign of it right now. I'm holding onto the possibility of Mendy and Drinkwater being in the same team, but more out of hope than expectation. Something drastic has to change. He's showing a lot of loyalty to players that are quite simply letting him down at the minute. That's his fault as much as theirs. Fair post
Guest Posted 5 December 2016 Posted 5 December 2016 Maybe there is a language barrier and Claudio keeps telling his team we need to win the championship not champions league ? Plausible, no ??
bovril Posted 5 December 2016 Posted 5 December 2016 Amazing how much debate Pearson still inspires. I can't remember people bringing up Little's name so much in the O'Neill era.

I can just imagine. "Our League Cup win was lucky! It was McGhee that signed Kaamark. Anybody who says otherwise is a disgrace!"
stripeyfox Posted 5 December 2016 Posted 5 December 2016 I've already embraced relegation. It's the "Lesta" way. Win the league, get relegated the following year.
robski Posted 5 December 2016 Posted 5 December 2016 I posted my views yesterday and having slept on it and read some very well formed opinions this morning on this forum I am still very worried indeed about the situation. To lose to Hull on the opening game said it all and it has just got progressively worse since then. We will get eliminated for sure in the first round of the Champions League knock stages and by then with Ranieri still in control we will be rock bottom of the Prem league with confidence shattered and relegation staring us in the face. The likes of West Ham will be getting rid of Slaven Bilic very shortly and so will Swansea with Bob bradely and the best possible saviour currently out in the market place is Allardyce. I'd take Brendan Rodgers from Celtic as well. Not interested in Steve Bruce. The longer you dither the harder it comes to find a suitable replacement and it is my view this change must come before the knock out stages of the Champs League allowing a new manager the prospect to progress in this competition as underdogs and with a belief and invincibility that we had last season. Any of you clowns that honestly think that all will sort itself out in a few games with Mendy in the team and Vardy scoring freely with Mahrez producing his magic..................................Well it ain't going to happen and your deluded thinking it will. Ranieri cannot string a meaningful sentence together in press conferences so it is hardly surprising that he is unable to communicate in depth and motivational team talks and rantings to get the best out of his players. I would happily take relegation in exchange for winning the champs League but that ain't going to happen.............................................so I will settle for 4th from bottom in the Prem league but the thought of relegation is screwing with my head and I am getting increasingly uptight and my knickers in a twist about it all. I'll say it again............................time is running out and God only knows what damage Man city will inflict on us at home this Saturday, particularly after their defeat to Chelsea, they will be gunning for us and we are easy pickings at the moment............................Every team will be looking at Leicester now and thinking............................That's an easy 3 points. I genuinely don't see where a win is coming from at the moment and will guarantee you that the players have lost any connection with Ranieri and he ain't gonna fix it. Lose at home to Man City and either he's off or I'm off to find another club. Survival is paramount and I will guarantee you that the games after Ranieri gets sacked will produce an immediate response and the form will slowly return and we will climb the table so it really is as simple as that. Its about who we should be replacing Ranieri with now and in how many games that we need to be focusing on, This will give us all hope and is the only solution.

Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 5 December 2016 Posted 5 December 2016 Need Claudio to say something like this... "I need to change the players' mentality, or change the players themselves, because we are under-performing and that's the reason we are not where we want to be almost halfway through the season." http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/16124149 its time to read the players the riot act now.

foxfanazer Posted 5 December 2016 Posted 5 December 2016 He seems really desperate to lose this 'tinker man' tag and it's costing us dearly. I don't want him tainting his reputation with us by taking us down
EnglishOxide Posted 5 December 2016 Posted 5 December 2016 Things wouldn't be so bad if he told us he acknowledges our problems. But saying 'we played well, we must fight' and picking the same underperforming team every week is just worrying.
st albans fox Posted 5 December 2016 Posted 5 December 2016 we will probably lose on Saturday but I expect him to play a five in the middle so we will see something different. drinks is back for Bournemouth and that's where the recovery has to begin. issue is we may be bottom three by then so another mental barrier for them to overcome.

Kitchandro Posted 5 December 2016 Posted 5 December 2016 If we replace Claudio with fat Sam I'm handing in my season ticket.
Wymsey Posted 5 December 2016 Posted 5 December 2016 LCFC are too respectful as a club in general to allow someone like Big Sam to be boss here. The club's decision to hire Ranieri as boss best decision they ever made with both what the team had achieved and his diligent personality that is warm-hearted by others. His managerial career is probably now over, with him likely to be personally devastated as he told the media beforehand being England boss would be 'a dream come true'.
RonnieTodger Posted 5 December 2016 Posted 5 December 2016 There's no doubt that Ranieri's getting it horribly wrong at the minute, but why do people call him clueless? What do they think happened last year? The same happened to Pearson when we were playing badly. I don't know if Ranieri will turn this around, but last season was no fluke.
Mickyblueeyes Posted 5 December 2016 Posted 5 December 2016 Genuine question to people saying he can have as long as he likes. Say we do go down and subsequently at this stage next year we are sitting 12th/13th in the championship. Will you still be of the opinion that he can have as long he likes? I can understand fans who want to back him but admit if things don't get better than it needs to be reassessed. That's a logical way of thinking. Saying he can have as long as he wants makes no sense. The above scenario has happened so it's not like it cant occur again. Just like winning becomes a habit, so does losing. By saying he can have as long as he likes you are basically making him bigger than the club. I'm sorry but, he needs to be as accountable as any other manager in the world. Basically, don't come out with that rosey loving 'you pick and choose, claudio' rubbish. Because if the worst happens, I am pretty sure those saying that will be at the front of the que asking for a change. And if you truly believe you won't be, do you really want the best for the club?
