Vardy's 2nd Goal Today!

Thought Vardy's 2nd goal today was quite possibly the greatest goal I have ever seen in the flesh don't think it's received the credit it deserves from BT sport and and match of the day. For me it's a proper football purists goal.

It's 2.34 of the following video if you want to treat yourself to one more veiwing. http://hoofoot.com/?match=Leicester_4_-_2_Manchester_City_2016_12_10

the 50 yard ball from Fuchs is mouth watering and dropped on a 6 pence for Marhez's whose first time ball out the sky is weighted and directed perfectly for vardy to round the keeper and finish.

Absolutely fuching gorgeous.

The touch from Mahrez is astonishing.

A Manchester United fan on a United  forum described it perfectly. Mahrez first touch was porn.

"Superb movement and finishing by Vardy. But that pass by Mahrez though; started by controlling high ball on wet pitch, then made a bit fake body move to unsettle his marker, while checking and calculating his teammate making the run. Then laid off a curve flat pass, with precise speed for Vardy to catch and didn't halt his run toward goal.

What a simplistic beauty."

Especially wet pitch. Anyone who ever ever played on a wet pitch knows how outlandish the pass from Mahrez is. With the weak foot on top of that. Beautiful, simply beautiful.

That touch from mahrez is semi material.

I had a full blown erection. The more replays they showed the better it looked. Pure sex.

Quite annoyed that MOTD didn't give the goal the hour long tribute it deserved.

Mahrez is next level. Will be a sad day when he goes to Barcelona for 80m.

Think Mahrez's first touch for the first goal was just as good, worthy of an assist in itself.

Hopefully Mahrez and Vardy have both gotten over their poor form. Their form seems to correlate with each other, one plays badly the other does, like wise when they are both on it they are unstoppable.

said it on here loads before but i am 100% sure that riyad has the greatest first touch in world football. he gets balls booted at him from huth, morgan and drinkwater that are 60+ yards away about 20 times a game and i genuinely can't remember a time he's miscontrolled one? left foot to go inside, outside, right foot, flicks, first time passes, he never gets it wrong.

simply genius.

Came here to say the same. Best (equal maybe) first touch in the game I truly believe.

Mahrez was magic today. Where has that touch and vision been for the past months? His decision-making and movement was superb as well. Bravo's save stopped it being a glorious evening for him. To top it off, conditions really made the aforementioned touches even harder to pull off.

On this form, he's the best in his position in the league. On last week's form he's nearly a liability. More of the same please Riyad, you Algerian wizard you!

It was a lovely goal. The touch by Mahrez (like the 1st goal) was sublime. For those who have quick to criticise Mahrez, just remember he is the ONLY player we have (probably one of the few we've EVER had) who has the "touch". The boy is a genius and the price you pay for genius is that it is not always consistent. He can't do it all the time. But boy when he does!

It was alright but i still think Schlupp would have pulled off a volley top corner rather than passing to Vardy.

That would have been one hell of an own goal.

Not appreciated elsewhere not in Sky's best 9 goals of the day

There were plenty of goals in the Premier League on Saturday, but which made the shortlist for the best strike?

Saturday's six games yielded a whopping 29 goals, and the below were the pick of the bunch.

You can watch all nine strikes in the video above...

Wilfried Zaha - Hull v CRYSTAL PALACE

Stefano Okaka - WATFORD v Everton

Jeff Hendrick - BURNLEY v Bournemouth

Andy King - LEICESTER v Man City

Mesut Ozil - ARSENAL v Stoke

Adama Diomande - HULL v Crystal Palace

Aleksandar Kolarov - Leicester v MAN CITY

George Boyd - BURNLEY v Bournemouth
