SEVILLA!

There's a big if here.... IF I can get a ticket I'm going to drive the whole of it from Newcastle! It's about a 4000 mile round trip! I've figured out that if I drive conservatively (quite unlikely) it would cost me about £300 in fuel. I'm planning on leaving on the Friday night and taking a tent. I'm going to battle through France and then camp on the Saturday and Sunday night in Spain somewhere.... I'd imagine they'll be a few micro climates that will be quite pleasant, even in February. I'd probably also piss about a bit after the game, go for a little wander.

If anybody is in the same situation as me (can't gamble on flights without a ticket) and are looking for transport closer to the time, I could take 4 of us for probably about £80 a man, once we've factored in Ferry, of course I'd probably be picking you up from Leicester so you'd have less to travel anyway.... You'd probably need to be off work until at least the Thurs/Fri mind as I would meander back!

Malaga to Seville very do-able went on the train few years ago not particularly quick but OK about 2 and a half hours. You can drive but it is stressful and takes about the same time.Think we stayed at the Novotel in Seville good but pricey.

Looking at prices flights to Madrid look reasonable Seville ridiculous over £350 return.Anyone thought of other destinations with good rail links?

You could probably do it at a profit if you stopped in Calais on the way home with your boot open!

They wouldn't mind you dumping the tent either !!

Not that I'd condone such behaviour.

I get the feeling you might regret this plan by the time you get out of the country.

I have driven to and from northern Italy before and when you hit the wall it's rough. I stopped half way at a campsite that resembled Chernobyl with meth labs in Dijon.

This really is all bloody surreal. Away to Sevilla for a chance to get into the last 8 of the Champions League FFS?!! Asian play of the year, African player of the year, 2 Players in top ten of Balon D`or, 2 players around the England squad and a team who just hammered the master tikki takka Guardiola and his Man City superstars. Oh, and Prem winners last season.

I think Im on drugs.

As for the game, I think we have a chance. They will be hard to beat but if we play to our strengths we could do them!

Hope it works out mate. But I wouldn't be surprised if that is cancelled or they ask for more money. They are just a broker so will go to book the flights for you and will see the prices have changed dramatically

Got all the confirmation emails, not sure how the flight thing works, but took payment and fingers crossed it stays as is.

Does that package really get you a match ticket though, even if silver member?

No guarantee of tickets until as usual you reach your specific quota for how many points you hold.

Hmm, could've been worse but this is a serious test. They are a hell of a team as their record over the past decade shows. Over one leg I think we'd really struggle, over two I think we have a chance. They'll be delighted with the draw.

Will hopefully be a cracking tie over two legs.

Sevilla are a really strong side, but if there's a time we should be full of confidence, it's now.

We need to rid ourselves of the self imposed shackles that have been holding us back this season and just believe in how we play. We've seen we can do it, against Man City. The away fixture in Seville will be tough as old boots, but if we can keep the score down, I'm sure we can get em to our place and beat them over two legs.

An away goal will be crucial.

I haven't got the time to read all postings but it may well be worth a look at flights into Gibralter. Walk across the border to I think La Lina, bus to Algeciras  ( about 15 mins)train to Rondo then train to Sevilla

Group of us doing Stansted - Madrid then train to Seville.

Kind of wish we'd have stayed a night in Madrid before the train but oh well. Looking forward to it!

So, how far down the priority line do we think this will go then? Surely be sold out within the first 2/3 days?

Brugge went to 160+ with an allocation of 1450. We should be given around 2100 tickets for this game so I'd say it'll get to 165+ or further.

there was about less than two weeks from fixtures being announced to having to be in Belgium though, we've got nearly 4 months of planning for this to book off work, book flights, sort everything out. there's also no option to pick and choose a later/cheaper/more enticing fixture this time. it'll be gone almost immediately id imagine.

If we can get a decent result away, even just lose by 1 goal, they are terrible away. When they won the Europa league against Liverpool they didn't win a single away game all competition (except the final which was on a neutral ground).

It wont be gone almost immediately as we don't have that many fans with a high priority.

What will happen is everyone will big up how many are going and say it will sell out in 5 minutes and it'll still be available to at least 3rd priority.

The passport checks will be thorough at this stage as well so no point in trying to buy tickets on peoples priority who isn't there.

That was Last season.

Only lost 2 away games so far this, under a new manager. Including very respectable draws away to juventus and lyon.
