Really need to kick on now and not show up limp and lifeless in two days time.

This. I'll be ****ing pissed off if we fail to turn up properly on Monday.

Today was inspiring - the belief, the workrate, the skill was there (in patches, at least). The crowd were onside (albeit a little nervous at times). Ranieri clearly still cares and players still play for him.

If we turn out with a shit performance at Middlesbrough it'll feel like another false dawn.

Onwards! :chant:

Marc who got the assist and was pretty great while on the right?

Didn't say he wasn't performing - check post history of mine for proof - just that I prefer Fuchs in the same role.

It's games like this when you really feel that retrospective action against play acting should be introduced to get rid of the cheats. It annoys me when the likes of Stringer call it simulation. It's cheating, and it really shouldn't have any place in the sport.

Give them an instantaneous red card, 3 match ban for cheating and then the fines which follow from the clubs. Then they'll stop.

If it's a blatant dive award a goal to the opposition, not a penalty I mean a goal,  no need for bans or red cards the respective managers/ coaches will then stop their players trying for an oscar at a stroke.

Chilwell was sensational. Albrighton MOTM. Good performance, real battle near the end. Mahrez probably the worst player for us.

West Ham will be disappointed but they were wasteful in front of goal. Referee had a poor game.

3 points thank you very much!!!

Whilst a conservative scoreline, again part of the problem is that we're battling the FA puppets - the nerves are bad enough without the players also having to deal with the prospect of an over zealous ref punishing them. possibly sending someone off, etc.. Bound to add to the pressure..

I said before the match that West Ham had beaten 3 teams in a row who were placid in attack so Claudio needed to switch things up and give them something they didn't expect. Hit them early and held on so all is good. Agree with the others though that we NEED to go out on Monday with the look of a team who are taking something from the match.

That aside, we are at least half-way to safety now and 1 point better off from this festive campaign than we were last year!

Started really well. High pressure, great intensity. Glad we got the goal as I was starting to worry we hadn't got the break through whilst in the ascendancy. We seemed to retreat quickly once ahead tho.

Could have had a couple more in the 2nd on the break tho. Much better.

Certainly need to back it up with some sort of result at boro now tho. Wish I was able to go now having bailed on going due to a silly ko time.

We will be shit to on Monday like we always are away from home. If we get close to matching Middlesbrough and get a point I'll be seeing that as good day at the office. Anything else is a bonus.

Great result today, nice to see the team showing some backbone and mental strength under pressure.

West Ham though - what a disgusting bunch of cheats their team is. Dirty as anything, just like the game last season, but hurling themselves to the floor at any given opportunity - Carroll rolling around on the ground after an "aerial battle" with Mahrez was one of the most preposterous things I think I've ever seen in a football game. As for the much celebrated "West Ham way" of playing the game, they only seem to play like a knockoff Tony Pulis team launching the ball to Carroll while he climbs all over defenders, whilst constantly wanking over themselves because Payet scores the occasional free kick. Total fraud of a club, its just Millwall in a maroon top.

Albrighton is wasted on the left. Great playing down the right.

I've been calling for that all season. It just doesn't make sense playing him on the left when we're welll covered there now. Last season was different but not now.

He looked rejuvenated today where he could see the play in front of him. What a lovely ball for Slimani and similar with the cross when Slim hit the post.

For me the last month has been a yo-yo month where as we're on a high then a low,

the Man City game no one could have predicted, then Bournemouth away was lacklustre at best, then we put in a superb performance at stoke to get a point against the odds,

then we play Everton and that makes the Bournemouth performance look great,to then

play outstanding today in all areas,

so based on recent events we should play poor and lose 1-0 at boro,

but I really hope we finally turned a corner,

were 2 defeats away from relegation zone yet 2 wins from 8th,it's a funny league

Fully agree, they fall over like dominoes and roll around on the ground at the slightest opportunity.

Hope this is not the route Bilic is taking them.

He was out standing today, not just in attack but covering in defence.

Having moved Mahrez up front it left room for him and Gray on the wings and we got behind them quite a bit.

The Team we beat today have just won 3 on the trot and drew with Liverpool.

I like Bilic, I also think Pulis works really well with limited resource.

But as the Aldi advert would say........................... I like Claudio more

There will be another 2016 so let's hope we can build on today......................... :please:

Ironically Ranieri's hand was forced in the absence of Fuchs. Albrighton was brilliant today from the right and Chilwell just grows into that position. I'm not saying drop Fuchs, I love him. I let him out of St Georges retail park in his Vichai beamer with a toot and a wave on Friday.

Nice to see he hadn't sold it and was using it. (he waved back)

Gave Albrighton some stick after Everton game but he was transformed in the first half playing in his preferred position. Great cross and header, just what we need going forwards.

Second half wasn't pretty a real backs to the wall job but we clung on to win the 3 points. Another style expected on Monday but 6 points off the drop and only 7 points from 7th should give us a nice target.

Happy new new year all.

Fuchs is a top boy. My daughter was having a photoshoot at Mothercare and he was there with his family and managed to squeeze in a picture of the photoshoot because my partner knew I was a big Leicester fan. Made my day.
