Remember in the Championship when we used to sing "we always get shit refs"

camt belive after some shocking refereeing performances this season I am saying that is the worst I've seen.

That challenge on Chilwell was one of the worst I've seen.

Anyway onto the game, Chilwell outstanding MOTM for me. Amarteys best game for us, and without the pic of the pump, seems to be growing game by game.

Albrighton brilliant on the right, great cross, great work rate.

Gray great skills, poor decision making, needs to improve this if he wants to start every week.

great defending Simpon excellent again.

Slimani ends first half of the season with Leicester City with 6 goals and 4 assists in 16 appearances in all competitions, solid numbers

But he loses the ball sometimes when he is playing out of position, bring back Nugent!!

Quality first half, Crap 2nd.

Once again I'm really not sure about Ranieri' logic in swapping Albrighton and Gray over, both of them were below average on the other sides.

Slimani ran himself into the ground today as did Ulloa when he came on.

Great team performance and quality from Chilwell!

Gray was nothing special but Albrighton had a very decent game.

Well, I miss his smile

It's games like this when you really feel that retrospective action against play acting should be introduced to get rid of the cheats. It annoys me when the likes of Stringer call it simulation. It's cheating, and it really shouldn't have any place in the sport.

Give them an instantaneous red card, 3 match ban for cheating and then the fines which follow from the clubs. Then they'll stop.

Albrighton is a much better player on the right side of midfield.

The defence looks poor but Grey and Chillwell are laying a good claim for regular start. Just wish Grey would be instead of Albrighton, I see Albrighton as our emerging De Latt. An ever present imponderable.

Really chuffed with that win. I see that as a big three points..

Shame we couldn't keep up the momentum, but they are a strong side.

Great win!

Started well but turned into a battle.  The lads were up for it and it's a good three points.

Nailed it. Importantly though we won the battle and given the poor referee today, it's encouraging to know we can still come through those scrapes.

The second half might of been a tough watch (not going to lie, I was sweating bullets), but it was a much more closed game and not wide open like the first half. This year we aren't confident in our defence but last season we won many games by getting a goal and grinding the rest of the game out so I think it's good we can still do it.

Overall today had a lot of encouraging signs:
- Claudio changed the formation to suit our available personnel and during the first half it really worked! Albrighton, Slimani and Mahrez looked more threatening for me.

- Gray + Chilwell... wow. Very exciting to see these two link up so well. Both are still raw but there is a lot to work with, and both are English too. Chilwell in particular was unlucky not to score and looks far more composed than a 20 yr old making only their second ever PL start has any right to do!

- Slimani was great today. Great goal, could have scored another, chased things down and linked up play well. We used him in the way Sporting did last seasons and unsurprisingly he looked good!

- Kasper was class again. His leadership at the back was great once again.

- Drinkwater and Amartey had attritional games but won their battles.

- Everyone that came on did a job. In fact I can't really think of anyone in the team that played badly today, they all battled hard together.

AFCON means we might not see this system for a while but with Vardy coming back and Ndidi signing soon there is reason to be positive again! Nice one boys!

Vital win. Very, very happy to see Ranieri dropping the  4-4-2. We actually played football at PL level in the first half. Chillwell is MOTM and probably England's future left back. What I didn't like was the loss in of intensity in the second as if they were playing for the 1-0.

Oh and greetings from the "poor man's Ulloa, waste of money, bad guy, etc." Cya around.

Edit: Ref is a cvnt.

Watched that with a neutral and he was just as shocked by the ref as I was, awful adjudicating.  Refs as a whole seem afraid to give any big decisions (and a lot of small ones) in our favour this season...

Oh well, big 3 points still.
