Cadno'r Cymoedd Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Jamie Carragher got hugely emotional just now discussing our plight. That shows how much last year means not just to us. We cannot taint it as he said.
Tielemans63 Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Carra has absolutely nailed it in his post-match comments. Couldn't agree more.

HankMarvin Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 One goal in seven Sack sack sack if he doesn't want to fall on his sword
cityfanlee23 Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Ranieri has to go. Did not expect a win, was pleasantly surprised by 10 minutes of effort, but then back to the same old mess. We can't even get our positioning right ffs, the most basic mistakes are being made, the players are down and ranieri cant pick them back up. Get someone in NOW and give them time to turn it around. It's evidently clear ranieri cannot even get us to work together let alone defend/attack against teams. Kasper has just been point blank asked if the players are behind the manager, and the speculation the players arent. He refused to comment, did not deny and did not say the players were behind Ranieri.
Marshall Cockney Fox Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Just seen the goals. Laughing my arse off. Our defence are getting worse by the week. Shambles!!

The Doctor Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Says a lot tbf that the one who looked up for it and stayed up for it all game is the one who wasn't here for last season (Ndidi). Far too much of a "last season makes us too good to go down" attitude around the players.

In the first half he won the ball 2 or 3 times in a row, and in the second half he went on a few driving runs. He and gray were the only ones who looked to carry

CR achieved what he wanted his whole career, had a massive new contract. He has given it his best but it's quite apparent that he is massively out of his depth with a dog fight. replace the manager first, then replace the players that fail to perform till the end of the season
Clever Fox Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Ranieri's demeanour on the Touch line says it all. I'm afraid he's completely lost his way. I thought as much when I seen our lineup. No Balance to the team. Players played out of position. No support again for Mahrez. Vardy's doing nothing in any game, regardless of poor support. I could go on but there's no point. Turning into a shambles and embarrassing.
FireFox Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Claudio: "We play with our philosophy... try to do something good... unbelievable... important to be strong... we have to fight... Musa and Okazaki played well... We are together, confident with players, players confident with me....
ForeverandEver Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Let's be honest our defence was never really good - we actually used to score some goals which used to deflect the attention! We have currently no striking options. Hope Slimani is ready to get stuck in...
EGBFitness Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 4 minutes ago, The Doctor said: Since the match thread is locked... @EGBFitness They don't look like professionals to me. They have clearly given up the ghost, the effort levels are well down. Struggling to get yourself up to go again after such a big achievement is a known phenomenon - look at F1, Rosberg retired because he knew he couldn't go again. Your using an example of an individual, this is a collective group of 20 odd players. Psychology is a massive thing in sport and is something a fan will be unaware of, with the examples your using you minds aswell use examples of the mentality of players at clubs constantly mid table not wanting to better themselves or players at clubs always in a dog fight just accepting failure. With all the players I can't accept the example of because they won the league last year, if we go down this season everything they achieved last season could potentially tarnish everything they done - in sure the players are aware of this too. Yes they look nothing like professionals currently but unfortunately so they are and last season and previous 2/3 seasons have proven that too.
NewEnglandFox Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Only used 2 subs for the 3rd consecutive game.
BMR Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Very interesting interview with Kasper on NBCSN, they asked him about dressing room but he refused to deny unrest.
fazzyfox Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 I don't think luck played a part in Mata not seeing Red, if you ever wonder why Mourinho spends so much time talking about officials, enough to be constantly in the news since Wednesday, well now you know. Plant a seed and watch it grow, todays ref hasn't been shut in an underground bunker all week has he. Disapointed at Ranieri's work after 2-0 though, spending the second half with one centre forward to chase the game (the wide support rarely came close enough to link up with him) and then to not use a third sub when there were physically and mentally shattered players out there was insulting to the unused subs.
MrSpaM Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Players were ignoring Claudio in the last half hour yet again Wouldn't be surprised if he's gone after that

MattCan Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 January is gone and we just couldn't fix the **** midfield ...
adamlcfcbevo85 Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 People talk about loyalty to CR well maybe CR should show loyalty to the club and resign instead of wait till being sacked to collect the pay cheque !!!!!!!!
AjcW Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 I hope if he does go we do what Rafa has at Newcastle and accept the first bids that come in for the likes of DD and Mahrez and rebuild
