Well, we are now the most hated English club in Italy. That's the problem with social media, everyone has a fvcking platform on which to shriek.

Heigh ho, onwards and downwards.

On the upside, hardly anyone here had heard of us two years ago so it's not all bad.

We have now become the most hated club in England. Shame people can't see that if we carried on with him we would have gone down. At least now by actually changing something we might see some results.

More like shame we are a shameful club. The whole world would have respected our club if we said we stood shoulder to shoulder with our Manager regardless of the outcome. We would have shown the whole world that we cant not only win in spirit but also lose in spirit. Unbelievable pathetic show of lack of gratitude, loyalty and humility. What made everyone support us was our humility and our spirit to never give up. This was our biggest test and we failed big time! No longer are we the peoples club, the owners and many fans we have become monsters, the so called fans who were praising and saying they never expected to see EPL championship in their life time now consider a relegation an stain on their weak little ego's.

I remember many saying 2 matches before we won the title that they dont care if we get relegated just as long as we win the title. Now they have forgotten what we achieved and taken it all back. We dont ever deserve to win anything again and if Karma has anything to do with it we will never ever win. Oh yes enjoy staying up and then fighting for bottom half for the next decades but nothing and I mean nothing can take away what RC did. Its the last time in our life time we would see it.

I was on the road when the news broke, so it all came as a complete shock when I got in at 8:30 and heard it.

It's the right decision, and I'll not hear a word against the owners for doing what is right for the football club.

The reality was the warning signs were there from the Watford game ongoing. Since then we've had a disastrous - non existent - transfer window other than Ndidi, watched rival clubs sack their managers and improve, whilst our own form has gone into a tailspin. Then we hear stories of players unrest, baffling tactical decisions, the marginalization of Shakey, losing the dressing room. No goals in 2017 and no wins tells it's own story. It's rubbish and unacceptable from the reigning champions.

The decision will have been made after the Millwall game. Losing against a league one team, with 10 men, outplayed by them as well was a new low. He was a dead man walking against Seville.

Claudio is a dignified, respectful, decent man. He delivered the greatest achievement we'll ever experience as a football club. He'll always be loved, remembered and cherished for what he did.

But it could not go on any longer. He was done, and he had lost it and it was the only decision to make.

Ranieri had said that this would be his last job in football so apart from the possibility of joining Millwall last night was the end of his career. I hope he doesn't spoil things by taking a random world cup qualifying team next year.

Yes it works like that at loser clubs like Chelsea. Get in the real world. and are you seriously comparing Ranieri with Ferguson ? Clown.

you are an idiot - RC achievement is the equivalent of Ferguson's wins. The bigger fool is you comparing the richest club in the world with tiny little LC. Utd are supposed to win with all their money and players. We were not supposed to win. So yes I am comparing RC's solo win with all of AF's combined wins.

After a 3-0 home loss to Manchester United earlier this month, a senior star walked into the players lounge and declared: “That's it, we don't know what we are doing, we are ****ed.”

While before the Sevilla game, Jamie Vardy, sitting next to Ranieri at the pre-match press conference, stressed the need for everyone, including the manager and coaching staff, to work harder.

Out of curiousity, how long have you been a Leicester supporter?

Wanted him gone but now it's happened I feel pretty sad. The players are a disgrace and should be ashamed of themselves, unfortunately it is easier to sack one man than 11 players, and as amazing last season was, it has gone and there's no room for sentiment in football. Thank you for giving me the best year of my life Claudio.

I am Wenger out but we are at different stages, the last thing I did (in 2005) was call for Wenger to be sacked or the 10 years after that but times have changed and personally I'd like to see a new manager come in.

So you may understand the writing was on the wall really - the vote of confidence was all about seeing if it would provoke a change, both in Claudio and the players.

I imagine one thing Arsene has reasonably had throughout is the backing of players, especially given the churn of the squad, but this is why he's coming under increasing pressure now - the players are questioning him.

Same here with Claudio and as sad as it is to say, they had some justification.

They arguably did that to appoint him in the first place!

Can you really see them being impressed by Pardew in an interview - a manager who lost the dressing room in his most recent job?

"What can you do for us Mr Pardew?"

with no words, Alan flings off his jacket, pulls off his trousers, leaving him in a knitted jumper and leather cod piece...

"do you want me to lap dance for ya?"

People love their Alan partridge on here?

Agreed

it was to see if the players performed under the illusion CR was going to be here untill the end of the season at the very least

Do you think it will feature on question time tonight? Fed up with sky looping the same clips, they're running out of steam without any further news or insight.

I guess you are going to ask Lineker how long he has been a suporter too when he said " After all that Claudio Ranieri has done for Leicester City, to sack him now is inexplicable, unforgivable and gut-wrenchingly sad"

Some of us just are not fickle nob heads who belong to generation Y - the millennia's who don't know the meaning to loyalty, winning and losing together and just want everything now.

RC only won one trophy and has put us near relegation.  Yes it was magical

Ferguson has won several and has created a club to be the best I'm the world

In 50 years time, Ferguson will be still the greatest, CR will be known to create one moment of magic

I'm struggling to see the relative comparison

CR sacking maybe a blessing in disguise, he may have been known in history to win the Prem and then get relegated from the prem and forever be mocked and be known for pub quiz type Q&a

And the whole world would have laughed as we got relegated and not given a feck about us when we're struggling to beat burton Albion in the championship.

So why precisely should we care what they think.

If we go down we go down, resigned myself to that long ago. But it's best to move on now and start building again giving someone else longer to plan and get ideas across.

Some of the comments I'm seeing in the media and from those involved in the game are a bit frustrating. Love Claudio obviously but anyone could see this had gone way beyond the point of repair - what would letting the club get relegated prove? We are all nice people who are loyal and respectful. I'm not someone who calls for a managers head unless I genuinely see that a situation cannot be redeemed - but let's be fair Claudio was given a real good opportunity to turn this round. We are talking tens of millions here and clearly the future of the club is more important.
