Tuna Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 We don't need any new voices, the players are fully behind Shakey and he should be given the job now.
Deucalion Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 Agreed. It keeps continuity with the methods which have served us so well in the past and also means reinvesting in sports science and sports psychology. Do we really need an overhaul? Or do we just need to start doing what worked for us previously?
Guest the fox Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 For me the players showed their real color under him so they should keep him.
Jonno84 Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 I'm all for him enforcing his ideas on the sqaud
TheUltimateWinner Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 If we appoint someone else the players won't play for him as they would with Craig. Give it shakey till end of the season.
SecretPro Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 Beat Hull, give it him. (And that's coming from someone who didn't want him to have it)
Guest Mickyblueeyes Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 He made simple tactical changes and it paid off. Now that's a tactical masterclass!
FireFox Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 Not sure he is the man to take us forward, but he might be the man to keep us up. I think the owners can be patient looking for someone, and if someone does come in before the season is over, make sure the know that Shakey is staying as assistant manager.

Sir Shep Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 After Hull perhaps, appoint him now we're nailed on to lose!!
lgfualol Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 Would prefer him over some of the shite we will probably get. Not getting too carried away yet though.
Foxxed Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 Shakey needs at least three games. But after that it's temping to say: whatever Leicester lack is more than replaced by our spirit, determination and courage. If Ranieri somehow reduced that, and Shakespeare can retain it, it's hard not to wish Shakespear the job. See how we fair in the next two or three matches. Liverpool were, after all, hardly at their best tonight.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 Did well tonight but I'm unsure about him long term. Think he's a very good coach but unsure if he is a manager
Ozwin Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 Pearson can work with him. Makes the most logical sense to me.
5waller5 Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 Why risk a new manager not getting the most from the players when Shakey clearly can. Seems a no-brainer for the rest of the season.
car1os Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 I'm sure Shakey will keep us up this season but we need someone with experience at a high level to allow our squad to evolve next season. A lot of our senior players are 30+ and we need to bring in more youth - good to see players like Chilwell, Gray, Amartey and Ndidi in the squad, but we need younger legs in the squad
foxfanazer Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 To appoint or not to appoint, that is the question
The Guvnor Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 They are playing for him , they all love him , same level of performance on Saturday they must let him have this season
Vocey Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 Just keep him going until form drops, if that doesn't happen until end of season, he should get the job full time. Impressed with the little changes tonight.
4everfox Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 I wasn't sure about going the Shakespeare route before the match but following it I am completely convinced, he's got us playing exactly as we were for large parts of last season. If we play like that for the remainder of the season I could see us making a late surge for the top 10. Unbelievable! Makes me wonder whether it was simply a case of just switching back to last seasons tactics to solve the problem, and if so Ranieri's blindness and stubbornness towards the situation was quite foolish I'd say.
Ozwin Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 He seemed to think it was a one game remit. Maybe we have someone lined up after all?
foxes21 Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 Shakespeare until the end of the season. Then Pearson in the summer & get Paul Mitchell in December.
