Shakespeare offered managers job

As I heard several times on the walk from the ground back to the pub on Saturday, they 'gorragirritimnow'.

100% win ratio, best in the club's history so it's a no-brainer

Makes the most sense to just give him the job until May. Only problem is that he might do well and decide to leave in the Summer to manage another club if we bring in someone else.

Why would that concern you? Pearson is one of our most successful managers of all time. You don't half come out with some tripe you.

Because that was Pearson's main weakness. He has limited tactical ability and no plan B whatsoever. The main thing Ranieri did add here was some tactical awareness last season, he knew when to make subs and change formations and won us games by doing so. He lost the plot this year but the difference between him and Nige in that respect was huge.

Totally sensible to give him it until the end of the season, but not full time.

I've heard that he was in charge of tactics under Pearson, which worries me a lot, but after 2 good performances he's shown he can keep this team up and we need to do that.

Of course, if he wins the next 11 we'd be mad not to review.

Does that mean I'd be right in saying, Pearson's team played with Shakespeare's tactics, Ranieri played with Pearson's Team with his own tactics, now Shakespeare is playing with Pearson's team with Ranieri's tactics?

"Leicester deserve to be relegated for the way CR has been treated. You won the league a few months ago and now you have sacked your manager. I think the supporters are a complete joke and disgrace. Shame on any supporters who backs the boards decision by attending future games."

I think this is the right decision.

I think the difficult thing is that if we don't offer him the job in summer but he wants it, you can guarantee he'll be off.

Good news but having a good long term manager sorted asap is equally as important for the summer. Could massively influence who stays, who goes and who we can capture.

Its the right decision, call it an extended interview or probationary period.

Yes the last two results (and performances) have been a lot better but you can't give it to him full time (yet). After all he has no proper managerial experience and two games isn't enough to warrant a Premier League job.

I obviously want him to stick around regardless but the Rob Kelly example did stick in my mind. Wonderful short term impact and fell apart later on. Mind you the finances of the club at the time, and the reluctance of Rob to carry on doing the job despite his initial success, would also have played into the final result.

Only negative to this is we have lost  a great assistant. If he doesn't get job next year or at any point replaced, there is no doubt he will look find a managers not assistant job elsewhere.

I'm not buying that a manager who took us from League One to the Premier League and kept us there has 'limited tactical ability'.

Total myth.

I kept backing him at the best available odds 8/1 down.all with hills and paddy power. Even went and got my £30 on at 6/1 when Roy was 6 7/1 on. Anyway. I do believe it's great news regardless. I'm 58 and watched a lot of Leicester city football. I hope he makes a great job of it.... if he decides to take it on the terms the owners offer it to him, which tbh I did allude to a few days ago. He may want 2 years and they may not want to give him that long initially. A compromise could be 18months
