richieboy Posted 14 April 2017 Posted 14 April 2017 Scored a second. I think he's been outstanding this season, always liked him when he was at Leicester, couldn't believe he was a free transfer to Standard Liege, I think we paid over 1million for him
Blue ROI Posted 14 April 2017 Posted 14 April 2017 Seems to like the Friday evening game in April. Scored against sheffield wednesday around this time in 2014 to as good as guarantee promotion for us. Doing the same for Brighton tonight.
katieakita Posted 14 April 2017 Posted 14 April 2017 Mahrez could well be on is way, can think of a lot worse replacements.

IsItMuzzy Posted 14 April 2017 Posted 14 April 2017 Don't sell knockaert! Out of curiosity, what is Brighton's chant/song for him?'only cost a mil, he's better than Ozil, we've got Anthony Knockaert' Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
StriderHiryu Posted 14 April 2017 Posted 14 April 2017 Well deserved Knocky! I don't think you'll find any foxes fan with a bad word to say about him, he was a cult figure for us here, especially in the Championship. Some of his goals were truly outstanding. Mahrez overtook him when we were in the Premier League and Nige did try to incorporate him. Hope he does great for Brighton and I have a feeling he will be much better in the Premier League next year - he probably just needed a bit more time to adapt his game. He's been far more consistent this season for his team.
Out Foxed Posted 14 April 2017 Posted 14 April 2017 Met him once on a night at and he was sound as ****. Good luck to him.

Sammy Posted 14 April 2017 Posted 14 April 2017 Knockaert has come on a long way as well, he was good for us in the Championship but taken it do a different level with goals for Brighton. Chuffed for him and look forward to seeing him at the KP again
The Horse's Mouth Posted 14 April 2017 Posted 14 April 2017 does kill me everytime i see him in a brighton shirt, come home
FoxonMaui Posted 14 April 2017 Posted 14 April 2017 So happy for him. Think he will really shine in the premier and for the ones who say he is too slow and too small for the prem, I beg to differ, the guy has everything, just needed a little more time. Would resign him in a heartbeat. The guy plays with his heart on his sleeve, just the kind of player for us. We should have offered him a better deal and kept him. He would have had a role last season and this one.
Tuna Posted 14 April 2017 Posted 14 April 2017 Looks likely we made a mistake letting him go, I'll admit.

TAFKA Castroneves Posted 14 April 2017 Posted 14 April 2017 Thinking about Knocky more - actually I would like to see him back here. (but saying that of course even if we were interested this summer i don't think he'd leave Brighton just now, first choice spot etc - and fair play to him for that, lot of love there for him) Like i said earlier I don't think he's improved massivly overall - but he has gained a bit of consistancy to his game, can he be moulded much further? perhaps - lets not forget we built the core of our current team around Pearson's personality approach to recruitment - and those signings took us to the Premier League title after a few years. We would be guaranteed with Knocky to know we are getting the right attitude - and if you look at some of our more recent "flops" (as some would say) ala Musa, Zieler perhaps, Hernandez they've got apparent ability but they've not fit well. Perhaps attitude is one of the core attributes we really need to look for after perhaps it got forgotten a bit last summer. Realistically i don't think a situation will crop up for us to get him back here - but i would never turn down re-signing him if we could for the right deal.
theessexfox Posted 14 April 2017 Posted 14 April 2017 Definitely one of the most likeable and exciting players we've had in recent years.

Okazaki's control and the ability to draw fouls is exceptional. Huth and Morgan are great at what they do. Knocky is just OK at everything. all the players filbertway named are average players nothing else. If Albrighton was anything else he would not have joined us on a free. Ffs take off the blue tinted specs. And as for Okazaki ability to draw fouls he's Bambi on ice on acid. I don't think he's ever been told his feet are for standing on. as for Huth and Morgan they are not great at what they do at all. The first 25 games proved that. They are good in the system we play and with Kante/ Ndidi in front of them. But without that player in front they are average at best.

Imo he should have for me he's as good as Mahrez is 80% of the time. Another max gradel Pearson dropped some bollox in his time here.

weller54 Posted 19 April 2017 Author Posted 19 April 2017 Was just reading an article about the Lad.. Didn't realise his older brother died of a sudden heart attack seven years ago, this on top of losing his father last year too. He's had a hard time and it's great to see him celebrating with Brighton and getting another crack at playing in the PL.. No one deserves it more than Knocky!.
