Can we stop linking these crappy Hitc links? I don't know what Hitc stands for and I don't care. What I do know is they have never broken a Leicester transfer story and they almost certainly never will.

Would anyone consider getting George Friend from Borough? I assume he's still there?

Relegated, needing to get players off the wage bill and he'd want Prem football.

Always thought he looked quite solid.

I rate Friend as a very good left back. But as said above, LB is not really a priority position for us to bring another player in.

What's starting to bother me is that we were supposedly well advanced with transfer negotiations according to Shakespeare but have so far just one of what I'd think of as major targets.

 

If any dela was well advanced I'd take that to mean the club has established that the target player wants to come here and the terms he'd accept. After that it would be simply down to agreeing a price with the sellng club who, presumably would already willing to let the player go if their price was met.

 

Perhaps I'm wrong. Perhaps there's a different definition of "negotiations" being "advanced" that I've not understood. Or perhaps Shaky was talking about Maguire and the more minor signings.
