st albans fox Posted 22 July 2017 Share Posted 22 July 2017 It's been said that he has agreed personal terms its also been said that he has agreed a salary reduction to go there i suspect that means he gets a chunky s/o fee to compensate which may be the reason they can't afford to give us the kind of fee we need. If so, Riyad needs to make his mind up as what's more important - champions league football or his bank balance!

Sorry but I guess it would take a bid off something like that to get him. I doubt Roma can afford him but we shall see. Bid declined incoming without a doubt. They also just received 34 mil for rudiger so they have got plenty of cash
Ted Maul Posted 22 July 2017 Share Posted 22 July 2017 The info might be true, and Roma might have upped their bid to £27m. They can f**k right off if they think we're accepting it though
Ashley Posted 22 July 2017 Share Posted 22 July 2017 Monchi who is Roma DoF is pretty special in terms of transfers. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/www.squawka.com/news/13-players-sevillas-director-monchi-bought-for-peanuts-and-sold-for-miliions/683279%3Famp-on Well worth a read
crisp packet Posted 22 July 2017 Share Posted 22 July 2017 Many many clubs supposedly watching developments , so why would u except a low bid? Shaky says he wants him to stay? So unless he starts being a nuisance? Pay or hell stay? But we really need a cut off point on this ,as we will have a mahrez type hole this year .... Tuna Posted 22 July 2017 Share Posted 22 July 2017 Roma have some balls to sell Salah for 45 and try and get Riyad for 27. Stump up the cash or get in the bin mate.
Netflix & Chillwell Posted 22 July 2017 Share Posted 22 July 2017 Apparently Romas new boss comes from sassuolo and is more interested in bringing in berardi from his old club who plays in the same position as Riyad for a cheaper price. He likes to play 4-3-3 counter attacking football and mahrez/Berardi would be perfect replacement for Salah so this Ones 50/

Wymsey Posted 22 July 2017 Share Posted 22 July 2017 If any bid is in the region of £20m, it should contain something like £30m in add-ons and more in bonuses if he achieves something elsewhere.

Lesta Legend Posted 22 July 2017 Share Posted 22 July 2017 Yep the low ball 20 / 30 million bids are clearly not what they value the player at and won't even consider - great to hear. But also he is insistent that it is Mahrez that needs get on with his job should we not receive the bids we deserve. Good on Top.

adam95581 Posted 22 July 2017 Share Posted 22 July 2017 That's great from Top. We are seriously lucky to have the owners we do especially when you look at the likes of Hull/Watford/Leeds etc. The list goes on.

fleckneymike Posted 22 July 2017 Share Posted 22 July 2017 The final sentence by Top is key "You have to consider his value at the moment he left, and value of his replacement accordingly. I can't see a player like Mahrez or a decent replacement in the market right now." why sell someone you cant replace?

Or it's an admission that we've looked and tried to find a decent calibre player should we sell Mahrez and we've not been able to attract them. Or alternatively - pay up or **** off, we'll need that money to buy a replacement in.
