Mahrez to .......................?

Recommended Posts

It's been said that he has agreed personal terms

its also been said that he has agreed a salary reduction to go there

i suspect that means he gets a chunky s/o fee to compensate which may be the reason they can't afford to give us the kind of fee we need. If so, Riyad needs to make his mind up as what's more important - champions league football or his bank balance!

Roma sold Salah for 37 Million rising to 43 Million.

Sorry but I guess it would take a bid off something like that to get him.

I doubt Roma can afford him but we shall see.

Bid declined incoming without a doubt.

They also just received 34 mil for rudiger so they have got plenty of cash

Many many clubs supposedly watching developments , so why would u except a low bid?

Shaky says he wants him to stay? So unless he starts being a nuisance?

Pay or hell stay? But we really need a cut off point on this ,as we will have a mahrez type hole this year ....

They'd been calling, texting, flying the player around to meet the manager! That's taking the piss ha

Yep the low ball 20 / 30 million bids are clearly not what they value the player at and won't even consider - great to hear. But also he is insistent that it is Mahrez that needs get on with his job should we not receive the bids we deserve. Good on Top.

Also the Iheanacho comment is a strange one it sounds like it's still Man City holding the situation up!

Maybe with rumours Aguero could be set to leave by some, they're reluctant to sell Iheanacho until Aguero's situation is resolved?

Or the fact man c are in the states and we are in Hong Kong is making it a little harder to complete the deal.

Apparently Romas new boss comes from sassuolo and is more interested in bringing in berardi  from his old club who plays in the same position as Riyad for a cheaper price. He likes to play 4-3-3 counter attacking football and mahrez/Berardi would be perfect replacement for Salah so this Ones 50/50

All transfers are 50/50 they either stay or go. Although the likely good of them signing Mahrez for under 40 million is about 0.

The final sentence by Top is key

"You have to consider his value at the moment he left, and value of his replacement accordingly. I can't see a player like Mahrez or a decent replacement in the market right now."

why sell someone you cant replace?

Or it's an admission that we've looked and tried to find a decent calibre player should we sell Mahrez and we've not been able to attract them.

Or alternatively - pay up or **** off, we'll need that money to buy a replacement in.
