Vichai 'considering options' on manager role

Doesn't look too good for Shakey.

Leicester owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha admits the Foxes must consider everything as they look to resolve manager Craig Shakespeare’s future.

Boss Shakespeare has hinted he expects to have talks with the owners this week with his contract as manager due to expire in June.

He replaced Claudio Ranieri until the end of the season in February and helped the Foxes into the Champions League quarter-finals, while steering them to mid-table safety.

The Foxes will finish in mid-table this season after last term’s shock Premier League title win and chairman Srivaddhanaprabha praised Shakespeare’s impact but offered no hints over his future.

“There are many things to consider and to talk about – both for the club and for Craig himself – but it is only right that we have those conversations with Craig before discussing the situation publicly,” he told the club’s programme ahead of Sunday’s final game of the season against Bournemouth.

“Craig has been here with the club for many years now, is well known to everyone, widely respected and we had every faith in him to draw the response he has from the team.

“Craig has helped rebuild its confidence, build some momentum and maintain it so that we could secure our Premier League status and go as far as we did in the Champions League.

“In difficult circumstances, he has united people and that is when this club is able to achieve great things.

“When we took the decision (to sack Ranieri) it was taken knowing we had a very capable person here that could step into the role.”

Not surprised watching this shit, they either don't want Shakespeare as manager, or know he isn't getting it, either way they shouldn't be paid for the last couple of games, we are being embarrassed by Bournemouth

Talking about this on sky, reading between the lines the owners want some one else, which judging by recent performances doesn't surprise me.

Yeah that was my feeling having read it, and obviously that of the journos who have decided to report on it.

Not sure we can  just blame Shakey.  We really do have some shit  players. Massive clearout and rebuild needed. Whether  shakey is  the man to oversee the rebuild im not sure.

agree - can't blame everything on Shakey. But I suspect the owners understand that a rebuild is needed and it will be hard for him to execute that

Great owners they are planning big things for us, they need to know shakey can deliver the overhaul required.

I am a fan of Shakespeare he has done a great job keeping us up, we were in a bad way when he took over.

I personally think we need a Brendon Rodgers type manager / coach attacking passing style of football.

Shakey not the man for me. Would probably keep us steady in the bottom half of the prem but I don't see us challenging for anything under him.

Last two game's haven't done Shakey favours

But he didn't have THAT much of a choice with our injuries.

I liked what he did or what he said at half team today tbh. We came out as a completely different team. So he is doing something right.

Don't worry, I've sorted it all out in true football manager style.

Out:

Shakey (number 2 again, although would not complain if he was given perm)

Morgan

Okazaki (grown to love him, does his job but better out there)

Ulloa (deserves to be treated better)

Mendy

Hamer

Amartey (Loan, won't get game time next season I expect but prefer if he did)

Mahrez (Can't see him staying)

IN:

Mancini

Schneiderlin

Zouma (Loan)

Cazorla (Free)

Gibson/Maguire Or Ake

Kirchoff (free) - Open to disagreement, very hot and cold but only 26 and did play for one of the most toxic teams in the world.... New surroundings and decent coach?

Rotation players

Lawrence back off loan

.                                 Slim

Albrighton               Cazorla                Gray

                Schneiderlin         Ndidi

Chilwell         Benny             Zouma    Simpson

                               Kasper

I assume you never win anything on FM? You want to start Slimani instead of our most prolific goalscorer in the last 2 years?

Also Benalouane was awful today. Id be looking to get two new centre halves.

won the world cup with cherry hinton mate

Benny has been solid since he came in, I've listed 4 potential centre back signings. Slimani will come good, It just fit that lineup to have him in over vardy, not fussed which one starts but we need to test new formations.

Why would he leave Everton after just signing and finishing 6th?
