Lizhang Posted 20 April 2019 Share Posted 20 April 2019 (edited) Apparently, four 1st division teams are already after our best player, Maertens (the one that was benched under Pearson, or not even selected). Let's see how strongly King Power wants to go to 1st division. Because Maertens is the player to build the team around. 1 hour ago, Devonfox1884 said: That was actually a decent goal from Hirst. This is the way he should have been brought from the beginning of the season. As a sub that gets 15 minutes every now and then, with a strong and proven striker in the starting 11, taking the heat off. He seems much more comfortable in this role without the pressure of leading the attack. Edited 20 April 2019 by Lizhang
Outfox the Fox Posted 20 April 2019 Share Posted 20 April 2019 (edited) Interesting that the Aggregate Table for the season was 'bang on the money'. Mechelen were top by a distance and got promoted, Tubize were well bottom and got relegated. Who needs those complicated opening & closing rounds and play-offs ! We usually start early in August. So that should most definitely be the case.

leuven Posted 20 April 2019 Share Posted 20 April 2019 Relief at last. Now we need a great summer transfer window, it's incredible how poor our transfers were last summer given the large budget and wages. Next season we must compete to get promoted, no more excuses. How is Sam Hughes performing in the U23 after coming back from injury? Seemed to be a good prospect for a loan.

Drop me a message mate. They had 17 over today for the game at West Ham. Lovely bunch. People can say about KPFC and all that bollocks but in reality? They're taking an interest in our club they've been over 4 times now off their own back. Few of us going over later in the year.

He isn’t on loan from us, he’s an OHL owned player (on paper anyway). 3 hours ago, leuven said: Relief at last. Also had half the defence loaned out at the same time he came back, as a result they have been playing badly since, so difficult to judge. Depends what offers from England he’ll get in the summer, I’d say he was definitely lower Championship level prior to injury but those clubs might not risk offering a loan for next season as he isn’t fully fit yet. Yeah but i thought Leuven signing him was just a way of getting him to Leicester without paying Sheffield Weds anything.

leuven Posted 21 April 2019 Share Posted 21 April 2019 Hirst should get in the weight room over the summer, he'll do better when he gets a bit stronger. He gets outmuscled at the moment.
MPH Posted 21 April 2019 Share Posted 21 April 2019 Cracking stuff. Pleased for all the Leuven fans! One thing that has to be said about The King Power owners- they are not afraid to make a change in management should they feel the need - they put sentiments to one side!

Bonanza Posted 21 April 2019 Share Posted 21 April 2019 2 hours ago, LinekersApples said: Who’s coming up? Who’s coming down? As things stand right now, KV Mechelen will go to 1A and Tubize will drop to the 1st amateur division. Lokeren will drop from 1A to 1B. There are still 3 teams in the running to come up from the 1st amateur division. This will either be Deinze, Lierse or Virton but they still have to play promotional play-offs. Thes Sport is the 4th team is these play-offs, but they don't have the necessary requirements to play professional football. All this can still change because of "Operation Clean Hands". Mechelen and Waasland-Beveren (1A) are accused of matchfixing and we all wait for the verdict in this case. If they are found guilty, Mechelen will drop down to the 1st amateur division, while Waasland-Beveren will drop to 1B. This would mean Lokeren stays in 1A, Beerschot goes up to 1A and Tubize stays in 1B. Moeskroen (also 1A) is another club that is currently under review for money laundering and for being owned by football agent Pini Zahavi. If they are found guilty they to will get relegated which means Union St. Gilles will go up to 1A. But this is all 'big if'.
