Imagine getting a corner with them in the team lol Oh hang on, we've got nobody who can take a set piece

Mahrez & Albrighton deliver good set pieces and usually pick out a blue shirt. But we do need someone who can score from free kicks just outside the box.

While he must be decent as he's captain of a top 4 Spanish side... I'm hoping he doesn't become Inler 2.0!

Either way I'm glad we're seeing some progress in the transfer market.

Can't find a single video of him passing... just a few goals, misses and clattering people.

Yep. Those that's think he's a 6 foot 3 David Silva are in for a shock. There's a reason he's never played for Spain.

Anyone know if he played any role in Seville's recent Europa League successes? If he has then I'd be very happy getting another winner integrated in to the squad

Moksky we are a club who are simply not attractive to established players - the end.

To get players with pedigree who are not up and coming we have to pay over the odds - Rudkin et al have at least learnt that after last seasons transfer window.

Disagree - why write yourself off like that, what makes Everton so attractive - we have a better stadium, better owners, we pay competevily with the likes of Everton, Spurs. I  am being totally realistic.

Small minded mentality, and we go and pay more than needed, do the proper homework on a squad player. What have they learned - nothing.

If people like Rudkin were in my busness, I would have got rid. They dont know how to negotitate a fair market valuation.

Keep you prized assests where possible, and add to those, pay over the odds. Michael Keane is travesty, he played down here, wanted to come, we wouldnt pay. Ok so now go out and pay and get Ben Gibson, captain for his club, young and I think he will play for England at some stage. No because we wont pay.

You pay peanuts you get monkeys, you dont spend you dont get.

Fans are doing somersaults over signing a player who played for club who we knocked out of Europe and is on his way down in terms of his career.

Im not writing him off, I hope he's the next best thing, but read between the lines, it does look like another Gokhan Inler.

Due to the quality of the Spanish midfield more than anything.

He played two minutes of the three finals.

Name me an in demand player, in their prime (28-31) of established quality and pedigree that LCFC has ever competed for and signed for us despite offers from other clubs.

We won the league and had CL football and still we couldn't get our targets.

Not ideal then, don't think I'll be able to judge this one until I see him play

Most of the noises coming from Spanish football 'experts' don't exactly make this seem very exciting.

That's because it's not

it sounds like Swansea bid 12m earlier for him this week so we probably had to match that

The biggest question for me is if he has been sold against his will, which I suggest is the case right now because quite frankly who would trade Seville for Leicester as a place to live other than a sadist! But if he's motivated for the challenge and has a point to prove I think this is a really safe signing. Just look at the physical attributes of the guy, he's made for this league.

from looking on their forums it sounds like Iborra was given the option last season (when he declined Sunderland on deadline day) and this season as well whether or not he wanted to go. I reckon he's actually keen to come, last big contract payday, doubling his wages and he will know we're a very decent team after what happened at the KP!

Doesn't mean he didn't play a role in them winning the tournament though.

Spot on.

There's a part of me that's become incredibly cautious about our owners. I don't think they lack business sense, I think they've got too much of it.

I think they realise the profitability of being a consistent mid table team and they're happy to have that.

If pushing on to the next level means splashing the cash then I think they're perfectly content with mid table obscurity whilst making the club profitable.

We didnt want to pay to get them. Fact. Sigurdssson, Keane, Deeney all were achievable last summer, no doubt others are this season.

Gibson is right now, Sigurdsson has Everton as his preferred desintation at the minute as we didnt buy him last season.

Ieanacho is a perfect example .

I can't be bothered to google it all up, theres plenty.

On another note, we don't have 2 right backs in the squad, yet we have 7 CM now. Need to clear out those who dont want to be here
