Dunno if it's been posted (I avoid transfer threads because of the gross levels of baseless conjecture) but the dude had a pretty banging 15/16 for a cm (couldn't find highlights for last season but looking at transfermarkt his return was pretty similar):

Just watched this.  Looks like a good, confident footballer who knows how to get sh*t done

Happy with this.  I think he could be good for us, predicting that we'll love him

I think we'll play him in CM and I think he'll start.

He'll have licence to play anywhere in the middle of the park getting forward as he sees fit.

I think Ndidi and Drinks will be fighting to play along side him.

I reckon he'll be considered better than what we have and an improvement on the first team not just the squad.

@Finnegan yeah this is what I thought (see above) though this fella could play in a CAM role as well as in either bank of 3 but I think he'll be keeping one of Drinks or Ndidi out of the first team for a bit.

An early suggestion for his song:

I wish I was a little bit taller

I wish I was Iborra

I wish I was a feisty midfield brawler

If we're doing 90's cult songs how about about a bit of snow.

Informer / Iborra

Can L1 do crap rap?

I hope this doesn't mean we're going to a 3-5-2 because we will have no creativity through the middle, you can get away with it when you are playing our 442 because we set up traps and force opponents into errors and disrupting their play, much harder to do with the 352 as their is only one man pressing on each side in the wide area. Our 442 we play got us promoted, won the premier league and took us to the champions league quarter finals. Would be stupid for us to change the style now. I do think tho however the 3-5-2 is great for when we need to go at a team and have nothing to lose

We need to be more flexible

I think the 352 we played in the 2nd half Vs Atletico suited our position of chasing the game and got the best out of Mahrez, given that opponents have 3 men on him when he's a bit more isolated on the wing

Iborra would add ability to cover the defence & set off counter attacks... The only problem with entrenching ourselves further in counter-attacking style is that Vardy & Mahrez are critical to it, sure some people seem to want Mahrez to go, but IMO we'll miss him & miss him a lot

I hope he plays CM next to one of either Drinkwater and Ndidi (the three in rotation) and that we play a more creative midfielder in front of them, Boudebouz, Sigurdsson etc.

Obviously we'd need to learn to defend without this crazy Okazaki role but every other team manages it so, yknow.

I actually thought a lot last year that I'd have been happy seeing Drinkwater in the Okazaki role which is also possible. Iborra and Ndidi behind, Drinkwater ahead.

He works his balls off but he can actually spot a very good pass in the final third as well. Not to be sniffed at.

He'll fit right in - in the new 3-1-2-3-1 formation in the middle of the last bank of three...

Or, yknow, did until Conte made 352 cool again.

Obviously only a highlights reel but I like the look of him. He seems to be making late runs into the box that are well timed. Seems a no 10 to me and not a CM. Not a bad signing for 12 Million.

Oh I thought your middle name was 'OOOOOooooooo'?

He is?

when the chips have been down ( Madrid and Spurs ) he has resorted to 3-5-2 and whilst in that formation we looked capable of steam rollering some of the best opposition out there. In the escape season, he saw at close quarters what the 3-5-2 was capable of doing. It was Claudio that stuck us back to four. If we are chasing Gibson then unless we lose one of Huth or wes then I'm sure of it. Also look out for us chasing a right footed replacement if we sell riyad. Would mean we are looking for RWB cover for albrighton.

Do you mean the game where we conceded six?

This signing has a big Nige feel about it- low key, apparently done quickly- a hassle-free addition of a very talented player with top level experience, at a point in his career where he perhaps isn't quite good enough for that level any more.

If you want it
Come and get it
Crying out loud
The love that I was
Giving you was
Never in doubt
Let go your heart
Let go your head
And feel it now
