Why cant it be AND.... for now?

I want to see how slim progresses. He is still new to the prem. .. lets see how far he can go.

Ulloa is a back up. ..  but needs to make mire impact...

They're both poor technically but at least Slim doesn't move like he's got a degenerative muscle condition

Leo is happy to be on the bench and play a part as well as being a good part of the group. Always puts himself about when he comes on and makes a nuisance of himself and runs himself into the ground wherever he plays. Slimani, on the other hand, wanders around the pitch like an oaf without any sort of understanding of the role he has behind Vardy. Will readily berate his teammates when things aren't going his way and seems a complete nobhead.

Not trying to start an argument but didn't Leo say he wouldn't play for City ever again because he was only on the bench and they wouldn't sell him to a team where he could start.

I like Leo, he's a great team player, helping Iborra settle and popular with the fans.

Don't agree with your assessment of Slimani being a "nob head" though. Think he gets frustrated, but often because he's making good runs and bust a nut, then doesn't get the pass. He's just as frustrated with himself very often too. Last night was also an example of him playing a team role.

Look at ulloa. Back to me. Back to him! NOW BACK TO ME. Sadly, he isn't me. But if you stopped trolling and started using your head you would find that he is still not as good as me. Look down, back up, where are you? You're scrolling through comments, finding a reason to say he is better than me. Back at me, what is it? It's a highly effective heading ability. Look again, Now UP.Anything is possible when you use your head, just look at me! Now knock it off!

I really do like Ulloa but like the other one who wants out now

He's also given me some great memories but for me Slimani will give us more

For all Slimani's short falls he is better than Leo in most departments

Leo is not good enough for the Prem - simple as. Take away THAT pen against West Ham and his career with us has been pretty forgettable if we're being brutally honest. Should've sold him to Sunderland when they were offering good money.

He's rubbish at this level but this is a bit harsh. Ulloa is a paradox - scored some of the most important goals in our history without ever being particularly good. Would we have stayed up in '15 without his goals vs Swansea and Newcastle? Would we have won the league if we'd drawn 0-0 with Norwich in February?

Maybe we'll go into the season with 5 strikers with Vardy, Iheanacho, Okazaki, Slimani & Ulloa.

Ulloa wouldn't even get on the bench though.

Fair point Bovs. Maybe forgettable is a bit harsh as he has scored some vital goals like you've said.

He is crap though lol

Ulloa has been a good servant to us but has nowhere near the quality of Slimani. Iheanacho would be a good signing but is very young and has never played a Premiership season, just cameo appearances a bit like Gray but better.  It's a lot of expectation for him to arrive and immediately become our next superstar. If he fails to light up in his first season, who is going to get all the goals if Vardy gets injured for example. I just don't see Ulloa or Okazaki taking over the reins. Whilst injured and with just a few appearances,  at least Slimani had a good return rate plus, as an alternative if things need changing,  if you put Albrighton on the right and pop a few crosses in with Slimani playing in his favoured number 9 position I would be fairly confident of results.

He might be good player back then, but he's declined. he's getting older.

when he plays, he almost done nothing. in attack, he doesnt offer much, in defence, slimani chase ball much better

Ulloa's season is 2 years back, no more..

Which is exactly what he said. Not so good on the reading

Slim will net loads for a team that crosses the ball like Fuchs did for the goal Vs Liverpool in Hong Kong

He's been hamstrung by injury though, how can we build momentum with a key forward player not able to play two games running

Posted

We might not have gotten to the CL QFs without Slim's dragon slaying head. Just as good or even better than Ulloa converting a penalty.

I forget to mention that Iborra can fill number 10 as well

Since we already have Iborra, there's no need for ulloa even if slimani left.

Ulloa - worst player on the pitch last night....by quite some distance.

I never dig out individuals to slate but I feel compelled to in this case.

Doesnt offer anything...shit hold up play...can't or won't run....slow decision making....the list goes on.

Slimani all day long.

For me 2 very different players who play different roles Ulloa seems to be used for holding the ball up and linking between mid and fwd where Slim is a box man who loves head(ing) I'd keep both unless a offer to good to refuse comes in for 1 and there is a better upgrade out there

To be able to 'net a lot of goals' a striker has to be able to stay fit don't they?

Slimani is injured AGAIN I believe?

:nigel:

30 mill quid is looking, frankly, quite ridiculous.

He cut his leg in a challenge and needed stitches. Hardly his fault. Will be available on Tuesday.
