Brighton Post Match 2-0

One of the easiest games we'll have in the premier league. Brighton will really struggle this season based on that showing. Just hope Vardy is ok. Maguire for me looks bargain of the season.

It was also nice to see Anthony knockart get a standing ovation, and he also applauded us as he took a corner. Nice to see such mutual respect.

Professional performance today, beat what was put in front of us. Brighton didn't really test us to be honest. They looked toothless in attack. Maybe could convince them to take Ulloa!

Great performance, although we were playing a championship team. I have no idea why they didn't give us more of a game and didn't go all out after we went 2-0 up hence the game being boring and us just keeping the ball in the defence. In other news Maguire cost £17m in a market where a fredo costs £200m.

Terrific win. Maguire, Okazaki and Mahrez superb. Professional performance all round.

We don't need a lot of possession to win games and potential more possession for us against Manchester United doesn't equal us getting something out of it. In their first two matches, United have proven they are lethal going forward. It's up to our defense to deliver and hold steady, requiring our midfielders also to help out.

that's why we need to hold the ball because our defense will not hold

Very professional performance, Brighton were extremely poor and are most definitely taking he bottom slot, just nothing coming forward at all. I thought we managed them perfectly, never needed to get out of second gear, did what we needed to do and are hopefully fresh and ready for next weekend.

Positives:

- three points

- Maguire (gives our game a new dimension; and he scored)

- Okazaki (lots of neat touches; and he scored)

- Mahrez (style AND substance)

- the reception for Knockaert (he didn't show it but he must have been moved)

Negatives:

- James (a plodder at this level)

- Vardy's injury

Maybe Andy King, Mendy, etc etc

Enjoyed that.

It wasn't the most entertaining game but it was ok, we won, that's all I care about.

Can't fault anyone, but I do think Morgan's finished, certainly as a starter, he needs replacing, his back has gone, I remember be laughed at for suggesting a back injury has finished him last season, I think the reply was something like 'hes only had 1 injury in X amount of years', well it seems to have reoccured and I think it's been the cause of his decline over the last year or so, you simple don't get over a back injury, once you've had one it doesn't go away, I can vouch for that.

Worried about United next week, but let's enjoy tonight.

Have to agree about James sadly. Think he's looked very mediocre so far. I know it's early on but I definitely expect Iborra and Drinkwater to be ahead of him in the pecking order when they're fit.

People seem to be really worried about playing United, but for me, the jury is still out on them so far this season. They've played a Swansea side who barely stayed in the league last season and West Ham, who are leaking goals like a colander.

Quite interested to see how we get on against them. Think we'll give them a game.

I'm at Disney Magic Kingdom in Orlando right now. Mickey Mouse himself just came up to me in my Leicester shirt and shook my hand to congratulate us on the 3 points. We are massive...

We do seem to have a fair bit of support in Orlando! I've started following Orlando City/Pride and they have a good set-up going on.

He'll get better with time, more dynamic. He looks to be playing a disciplined holding role and is doing it well but looks better when he's more box to box and marauding.

Dont know if i agree with you there. I think he looks alright, fairly tidy and give him a bit of time to get up to speed he could be even better. Thought he was decent today

They'll score at least 4 again if we go there with Morgan at the back, Rashford and Lukaku will have a field day.

Tbf, we won't play a more toothless team this season, but a nice comfy win.

We've been totally sucked against similar sides in the past.

'Alright', 'fairly tidy', 'decent' - hardly ringing endorsements.

I'd love to see him succeed as he must have gone through hell with that injury, but I just don't see him ever being more than Championship standard. He's just too slow.

I can't believe how resolutely unambitious Brighton were even when 2-0 down.

Really professional performance today.  Managed the game really well.  I thought Maguire showed a lot of promise, if he keeps performing like that we will do very well with him in the team.

Mahrez was terrific today.  We may have to hide him until the window shuts!

I don't recall ever seeing a more aerially dominant performance than that of Harry Maguire today, unreal stuff. We're crying out for someone else to play alongside him though.

Brighton were not great, reminiscent of Middlesborough last season but worse defensively.

Anyway, a first home win and more importantly we actually look dangerous going forward again.

He reminded me of the first time I saw J Terry at Leicester, every aerial ball

seemed to be attracted to his head.
