just a bunch of angry men who swear a lot.

The worst are those guys that then try and look like them. Bad waistcoats and stupid haircuts. But it’s like….. Dave, you’re 54 mate and out of shape. You look a complete nobber. Cillian Murphy can get away with it because he’s a beautiful man.

80% of the 90s britpop music was shite. I loved it at the time. But a lot of it I couldn’t listen to now.

Oasis and Blur by far the best.

I am a big fan of both though I think Blur are better musicians.

People who say "Pulp were better" just try and be edgy.

Or they just have different preferences to you. Its almost like music is subjective 😲

i used to argue with my friend that Roxette were better than U2.. He used to get so frustrated with me that he couldn’t speak. He just didn’t have the words to say.. they just wouldn’t come out..

Suede and Mansun were much more talented bands than Oasis.

Oasis just had a great songwriter in Noel. Blur had Albarn AND the talent which is why they were better than Oasis.

Noel stole every song from the Beatles. He has no talent other than being a thief. This is clear because once he’d finished lifting their back catalogue he’s gone on to be an exceptionally mediocre solo act.

Albarn did a great job with Gorillaz too.

I always disliked Oasis and still do really. A lot of it just sounds rubbish these days. In my opinion Pulp, Suede, Blur, REM, Longpigs (and a few more) still stand up but there was a lot of awful stuff (OCS, Kula Shaker, etc). At the time I despised all the R&B and hip hop because I was an annoying little long haired nobhead who though “proper music” needed a guitar but I must admit I’d much rather listen to TLC than Shed 7 these days.

I quite like oasis but I think the fall out between Noel and Liam is absolutely pathetic. To sacrifice a great band for a petty dislike of one another is so cringe.

I've been to see him a few times and he's great live.

Best one was at the Albert Hall a few years ago - I popped my head in to see who the support act was..and it was Noel Gallagher! Obviously there was a problem with the support, so he came out and did an excellent acoustic set and then came back after the break with High Flying Birds and massively rocked the joint.

No chance. Oasis and, especially, Blur were consistent. Pulp had one stand out album.

I used to love Oasis, my first gig was Knebworth, I was spoilt.

Don't really listen to them much now, I will occasionally.

Surprised nobody has mentioned The Verve, they were incredible.

Moseley Shoals by Ocean Colour Scene is a timeless album too.

In your opinion.

I was there at the time (about 20-22years old), saw them all live (several times) at the time, Pulp were by far the best

Mansun's Attack Of The Grey Lanterns LP is still the best "britpop" album by a country mile though
