Jimmy Posted 16 September 2017 Posted 16 September 2017 Jakupovic Simpson Dragovic Huth Chilwell Musa Iborra Amartey Gray Iheanacho Slimani its going to be 442 so with that in mind that's what i'd do
Ric Flair Posted 16 September 2017 Posted 16 September 2017 It'll be Hamer Amartey Dragovic Huth Chilwell Gray King Iborra Musa Ulloa Slimani ?
Wymsey Posted 16 September 2017 Posted 16 September 2017 Not being funny, but I'd give both Amartey and Musa one final opportunity to prove that they have what it takes to effectively compete for even a slice of first-team domestic action. I hardly remember at times that they're here due to their infrequent showings, but don't want them continuing to happily sit on the sidelines because they're not good enough.
Benguin Posted 16 September 2017 Posted 16 September 2017 Fickle here I know, but if the league season pans out as it has done so far ala a little disappointing, I really hope we compensate with a good cup run.
RODNEY FERNIO Posted 17 September 2017 Posted 17 September 2017 I know Slim is getting a lot of stick .. most of it unjustified in my opinion .. but looking at Liverpool's inability to defend balls into the box he should be a deffo starter and probably for the league game as well. I'm sure Shakey and his team must have noticed that ................. or maybe not.
BroughtonFox Posted 17 September 2017 Posted 17 September 2017 Strong side so we can win a cup please
Guest Posted 17 September 2017 Posted 17 September 2017 We can change a lot of players and still have a strong side. Pool will probably play some youth players to save their stars for Europe. We'll stuff them and then stuff them again in the league when we both play our best teams. We are not going to lose at home again for a while.

StriderHiryu Posted 17 September 2017 Posted 17 September 2017 I think we'll play a strong side (stronger than Liverpool) though with a number of changes. Iborra will definitely start and I think we will see Drago at some point too. Given we are at home I think we'll win but lose or struggle in the following league game. We should take this cup very seriously as it's a fantastic opportunity to qualify for Europe and to win another trophy.

Sir Shep Posted 17 September 2017 Posted 17 September 2017 Well let's hope for a Musa hattrick, I mean they have a pretty shite defence! I'd imagine it'll be roughly the same side as against Sheffield U with the big guns on the bench.

Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 17 September 2017 Posted 17 September 2017 Jak/Hamer Huth Dragovic Morgan Albrighton Chillwell King Iborra Gray Ulloa Slimani Try something new
Spicer Posted 17 September 2017 Posted 17 September 2017 Hamer Amartey Dragovic Huth Albrighton Iborra King Chillwell Musa Gray Slimani
KingsX Posted 17 September 2017 Posted 17 September 2017 There are no cups like well filled Colombian cups!
Wymsey Posted 17 September 2017 Posted 17 September 2017 Does anyone know if this will be a strong attendance? Reckon it'll be around 20,000.

katieakita Posted 17 September 2017 Posted 17 September 2017 Doesn't wining this cup get you into Europe if so we should be going for this.
EnglishOxide Posted 18 September 2017 Posted 18 September 2017 ---------------------Jakupovic------------------- -Amartey----Dragovic----Huth----Fuchs- -Gray--------Iborra----James-------Musa- -------------Okazaki----Slimani----------------- Says a lot for the strength of our squad that this is almost an entirely new 11 and would still give a good account of itself against a top side like Liverpool.
st albans fox Posted 18 September 2017 Posted 18 September 2017 would take the opportunity to play 3-5-2 with gray behind ulloa and slimani, albrighton and chilwell wing backs. I expect they will have a complete second string out there but their defending of crosses is usually woeful so some width and aerial power may pay dividends.
