We are so ****ing tin-pot. Hope everyone's ready for a dogfight. What a waste of another year.

Could'nt have put it any better!

****ing farce.

No good being bitter about it. This is entirely the fault of the people organising our transfers. We shouldn't have waited until deadline day to source a new midfielder that will bring something necessary to the team. Adrien Silva is someone we've monitored for a long time and would have strengthened our squad even if Drinkwater stayed. We were given an extension and we missed the deadline. The amount of time we missed it by is irrelevant - because, as much as I hate to say this, it is actually consistent treatment by Fifa. If they allow us to be late, they're essentially sending the message that everyone will be allowed to be late.

Seasons a write off already isn't it. It's no wonder a lot of fans are struggling to get up for games this season, clubs a shambles on and off the pitch.

If I was Silva I'd put in an immediate transfer request for January which contains the words shambolic, amateurish and disgraceful

I have a feeling that the extra 50/60k per week we will be paying him (assuming we keep our side of the transfer) will placate him.

Its far from ideal for a player and its crap for us but he will receive the best part of a million quid (gross) to make him feel better about life until January comes around

King all the way until january it is then. Awesome.

Just hope we are not cut adrift by then.

What like Barce, PSG, Real Madrid, Man City and a host of others....?

It still wouldn't surprise me if we'd broken it that they'd have come after us rather than PSG or Man City

With way we're playing it doesn't look good. Can just hope we get a lucky win (vs West Brom would be ideal!) and some momentum on our side to get us through the 'easier' games

Don't think I'll ever be able to fully process the opportunity we were given 18 months ago and how poorly we've dealt with everything. This Silva situation sums it up perfectly. Optimism followed by a dramatic cock up.

We were comfortably the most attractive proposition outside of the traditional big 5/6. Be a part of the 'Leicester story', play in the Champions League, help continue the fairytale and make us a top 8 Premier League side.

It doesn't matter what way you look at it, right now with the current state of the club - not one of our signings can be judged as a great investment. Hundreds of millions of prize money from the PL and CL. Not one signing where we can honestly say we have the confidence in them now. The only ones that are good investments are either not being used correctly (Ndidi) or will probably be pushed out of the team for Huth (Maguire).

And yet they could be. But here we are week after week begging for a change in approach, tactic, formation whatever the hell you want to call it but it will never, ever happen. Everyone's comfortable. No one's accountable. No one knows what's going on. From the board room to the pitch, we are a one dimensional shambles who will never be an established Premier League (let alone top 10 PL!) side unless we see some sort of change!

To me this is all on the club.  You want to buy the player way before the window closes.  For the extra money they were holding out for Drinky, knowing it was going to go down to the wire with him them, they have came out in a ridiculous position.

Good old Adrian Durham on TalkSport is ripping us a new arsehole on his show right now. Says we're the most embarrassing champions ever.

He was saying that letting Kante go for £30m+ was a big mistake but he missed out the fact he had a release clause, the tit.

Listening to Talk Sport atm , Adrian Durham calling us an embarrassment of a club due to being awful former Champions, Sh#t signings, poor judgement with Manager appointment and the icing on the cake the Silva saga.

Sad thing he is absolutely spot on.

It is definitely never flippin boring supporting this club... I kinda of knew that the PL title sensation would come with a backlash, but this shambles on top of being dominated by Huddersfield and Bournemouth just makes you want to run away screaming... Oh well time to watch the 2015-2016 highlights again and remember the happy days. Maybe Silva can have an Huth-like effect when he can finally play in January and we can have some fun again.

But it is though isn't it?

I find playing crap football within our own half very boring.

We need Silva.

So if Rudkin loans Silva 25m Euros (or whatever the fee is) and he uses this sum to buy-out his Contract with Sporting, he then becomes a free agent and can sign for us for free.  Sporting get their dosh, we get the player and we can all do a mooney in the direction of Zurich at the next home game.  Sorted.    It  this illegal? -no... we have not broken any Civil Laws.  Not sure what FIFA could do about this, but I am sure someone will tell me.  But do not mention the word 'morally' in any response.

You've already forgotten our very creditable performance in Europe, putting the "top" English clubs to shame, then?

Not surprised about this but very disappointed for the player mainly, he's now not going to be able to play football for three months due to no fault of his own. Just got to make sure he's ready in some shape for January but then we'll probably use him sparingly as "bedding in" time.

Utterly ridiculous all round.

This was suggested some time ago on here and someone gave a reason why it wouldn't work, unfortunately. Can't remember who it was or the reason he gave.

could be done inside the window but cant be done outside. otherwise the window would become redundant as this would happen all the time.

listening to talksport is grim at  the moment - I don't have to listen but I need to hear how embarrassing we are !!

most of what is being said is true ............

We’re such a tinpot club sometimes. After winning the title I don’t understand how things have gone so sour so soon

Because what good we did came despite the likes of Rudkin and not because of him. It always had potential to go sour and sure enough it has.

I think the quality in our squad (if we decide to start showing it) will keep us up but I don't think we're going to amount to more. How can any prospective player take us seriously now? We've massively weakened our bargaining position for the future.
