Arise Sir Daniel Amartey , The Savour, The Ghanian Prince

Looking forward to people twisting what I've said and them trying to make out I think he's amazing on the ball. So I'll repeat that he's just better on the ball than people give him credit for.

Okay the appeals been rejected, however FIFA now need to follow this rule every single time it arises.

We may be reading stories about the "Silva rule" for years.  "Leicester ruling" would be more apt, but too lingering a black eye.

London, 2037: FIFA have blocked the 6 billion euro transfer of Daniel N Drinkwater, Jr from Chelsea to Sporting Guangzhou on the grounds that 14 electrons were missing from the transfer blockchain entry completed at the stroke of midnight.  Ironically, the famed "Leicester Rule" cited in their decision, was a precedent created when Leicester City attempted to replace Drinkwater's father, but failed to seal the transfer despite a window extension.  Neither Drinkwater Sr nor his replacement Adrien Silva, ever played for the the clubs involved in the deal.

Move on, rebuild.  Reputation as well as the squad.

Basically FIFA are saying that you do your career LESS harm  by biting an italian defender than you do by signing for Leicester City Football Club.

.....does not bode well for future transfer targets.

Sorry if this has already been said (can’t read through 13 pages), but would this be the case if it was a big club like Man U, Arsenal or Real Madrid?

I might more be a case of not wanting to sign him early because of FFP, with the club needing to move a player out if one came in. If the Drinkwater deal fell through after we sign Silva then we may have been sailing close to the wind for expenditure, who knows?

What like Barce, PSG, Real Madrid, Man City and a host of others....?

This 'rules are rules' stuff is bollocks.  The rules are bent or broken all the time for a variety of reasons.

To say, 'well a deadline is a deadline' ignores the complete lunacy of the while situation.

This will basically open the biggest can of worms the likes of which Football has never seen.  All over 14 seconds.  If FIFA just rubber stamped the deal without kicking up a fuss, nobody would give a shit.  Now they're gonna have all kinds of unnecessary scrutiny put on them.

Its laughable that an organisation so obviously corrupt, has so much support for such a stupid decision.

It is definitely never flippin boring supporting this club... I kinda of knew that the PL title sensation would come with a backlash, but this shambles on top of being dominated by Huddersfield and Bournemouth just makes you want to run away screaming... Oh well time to watch the 2015-2016 highlights again and remember the happy days. Maybe Silva can have an Huth-like effect when he can finally play in January and we can have some fun again.

So embarrasing. The club have totally messed up for the team, the fans and the player himself.

Only hope and its a faint one is siege mentality.

Hardly. i would expect he is as miffed as us.

I would hope more so

his future possibly compromised by it

cant someone edit the original tweet to 'accepted' and then publicise it saying there has been a mistake

fifa probably won't notice him playing for us - who watches us nowadays ??

Would agree with this

cant think of a good reason other than it's maybe the fa who messed up and FIFA are keen to put them in a very awkward position - let's face it, they hate the English. If it wasn't for our press, their gravy train would still be stuffed with cash

If we're fighting a relegation battle this season, it won't be because we didn't sign one player for half the campaign.

There's no IF about it!

Correct, we have a strong enough squad, if they are played to their strengths.

No more trying to fit square pegs in round holes.

The players he persist with are not good enough, the better players don't suit 4-42, midfield is weak, Iborra, king don't suit playing in a two, so if he persist with it its poor management.

He has to adapt now, nididi, king, Iborra in a 3 until silva/ James  is available.

People can defend Morgan, Simpson, Albrighton all they like, but they are a big part of the hoof ball rot that has set in.

We have brought in draga, use him in a 3, and like maguire he isn't afraid to pass the ball, is look comfortable on it, and solid against Liverpool.

Nacho will thrive if we start to pass the ball, he's not vardy, and needs it into feet, same with slim, not used to hoof ball.

So many different ways of playing, other than go out, and try not to let one in, and just hoof it back to the opposition when we do finally get it back.

Poor performances are down to single minded tactics, and playing the same players, in the same system, and wonder why we get the same results and performances.

People blaming FIFA look like children.

This is is a multi billion pound business. A deadline is a deadline.   FIFA, for once, actually played by the rules.

It's our failure. Why has it even come down to rushing at the deadline anyway? No professional outfit would do that.

My other thought is the owners are arguably at fault even more than Rudkin. If the club wanted to sell Drinkwater before getting Silva then that is most likely to be a financial decision, and that's Vichai's call. Rudkin's job isn't to manage the club's finances, as far as I understand it.

The owners are getting tight and probably insisted on waiting. If Rudkin was at fault, it will be because he failed to advise that this was too risky a strategy and, if he had the authority, to cancel both deals.

Drinkwater should still be here because we weren't prepared for his departure. That's the bottom line.

This happened to both Man Utd and Real Madrid, the two biggest clubs in the world. Rushing on transfer deadline day is sadly an occurrence due to the small windows for transfers. The whole system needs changing.

If I was Silva I'd put in an immediate transfer request for January which contains the words shambolic, amateurish and disgraceful

He actually probably is. Had a little spell of consistent performances last season and could maybe play an anchor man role with 2 more technical central midfielders.

If that was the case why did we bid £20 million for Calum Chambers in the morning of transfer deadline day? Way before Drinkwater was going and Silva was replacing him. We've yet again spent the whole of August for two seasons running just pissing about and then making half arsed attempts on the final few days of the window to get some more signings in. We're the pits.

Well congratulations on being ridiculously deluded.

No, I stick up for people against over the top stuff and always will do. My view point has been and always will be managers need to be given time and I will stick to that. Did I ever say any one of them was a great manager and people were wrong? No.

Thats the way I see it.

Not coming inbetween you and Kitch, but, once deciscions are made, well out of control of we Fans, its pointless preparing "Told you so" statements and go into the the negative before people have been given that chance. Its easy to carry the posts of the negative trait,90% of changes in football turn into some type of failure, because of expectations from others,

Some cant take and accept 2nd best , not realising also rans also have their single triumphs, and most can only enjoy single moments in a season.

I see Kitch's frustration like many others, we the foxes get that first foot on the ladder of stability, then blow it with real poor business/sport descisions. We were so near and now after

1 turgid Season, and a real tExcrutiaing start to this One, we are no better off than our 1st season back in the PL.

CS got the nod, I want him now to show and prove hes got it, depending on results, he'll get my support of a chance to try and turn the situation v around.

I believe Posters   frustration are not so much the losses, but the how, and non performances of the team as an whole.

If we hadnt won that title, but carried on playing in the same vain, ...opinions, I wonder....???
