Fox 4 Life Posted 6 October 2017 Posted 6 October 2017 Yet more shite from sky! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4956784/Man-Utd-trip-Leicester-moved-Christmas-Eve.html
Guest Electric Yetis Posted 6 October 2017 Posted 6 October 2017 Tigers at home Christmas Eve so surely unlikely.

Are they having a meltdown about playing on Christmas Eve over on tigers talk?
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 6 October 2017 Posted 6 October 2017 Personally hope it's same/original date but tea time kick off
st albans fox Posted 6 October 2017 Posted 6 October 2017 Always thought this could be the Friday night fixture

Games shouldn't be played on Xmas eve period. 4pm kick off, what about the away fans getting back up north. Just pure greed from sky.

davieG Posted 6 October 2017 Posted 6 October 2017 Why Leicester City will NOT play Manchester United on Christmas Eve http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/manchester-united-christmas-eve-leicester-564224
Wymsey Posted 6 October 2017 Posted 6 October 2017 Clubs, even the size of these two teams, shouldn't be hold to ransom and be forced to play whenever it suits £ky for their commercial gain. Leave it as it is, as more messing around just to suit broadcasting companies will affect club's preparations even more difficult.
Dan Posted 6 October 2017 Posted 6 October 2017 They need to knock the idea on the head but chances are they'll get their way like usual, although not for our game luckily.
UniFox21 Posted 6 October 2017 Posted 6 October 2017 As said above, Tigers play at home on Christmas eve, police would i assume rule this out for safety reasons. No way do they have the force size to cope with 60,000 odd fans and Christmas eve shoppers etc. Absolutely a stupid idea to even try to do it.
jammie82uk Posted 6 October 2017 Posted 6 October 2017 It’s not as if the Tigers game can be moved as Its already been moved once it was originally down for the 23rd it’s the only game that has been moved to the 24th so I’ll assume Bt are planning on showing it live
Tuna Posted 6 October 2017 Posted 6 October 2017 What's next? Sky putting a game on at 3am for the Chinese viewers ???
Leicesterpool Posted 7 October 2017 Posted 7 October 2017 As much as it would be interesting to be at a game on christmas eve, i think at the same time its a stupid idea once again less time for players to have time off. Also fans many of us are busy christmas eve, imagine trying to getting back christmas eve for an 8pm kick off. Can imagine Stringer or Matt Elliot would be very happy on commentating either.
Jakemoore Posted 7 October 2017 Posted 7 October 2017 Apart from anything else, they’d absolutely stuff us at home so I’d spend Xmas Eve miserable as ****

Is that an argument for, or against it? ?
The Doctor Posted 7 October 2017 Posted 7 October 2017 If they absolutely have to have a Christmas eve game (Why? There wasn't a round last year when it fell on a saturday), then pick stoke v West Brom- the one that causes the absolute least havoc for fans.
Vlad the Fox Posted 7 October 2017 Posted 7 October 2017 When will I do my christmas shopping if this goes ahead?
Fox92 Posted 7 October 2017 Posted 7 October 2017 Clubs and fans need to try and stop this. Liverpool have done well so far, I dunno if Sky turned their attention elsewhere. If this happens there should be a boycott, no doubt about it.

Fairly confident that if that is the option they will shelve the idea and reschedule our game to the Friday night instead
davieG Posted 7 October 2017 Posted 7 October 2017 It's not going to happen BT are showing the Tigers at 3pm and the two teams are not allowed to play on the same day.

They've already said there's no chance of the likes of Bournemouth being on because of distance.
