Everton (H) Pre Match

Albrighton has been poor. His endeavour is endearing but his lack of finesse not so much... I am desperate for Gray to turn up, but he needs to drop this “Ronaldo” attitude, so far he has failed to produce anything like he thinks he can... it’s about time he took a game by the scruff of the neck and made that place his.

Everyone always slates Gray's performances, but he always looks like a prospect when he comes on for me. Dont get this attitude of being unimpressed with him.  If he came on and did what Albrighton did he would get panned for it, but because expectations of Gray are higher he's not cut any slack (i say this with all respect for Albrighton, good player).

no one's slating gray ,No one's saying he's a bad player ,  they're just pointing the obvious

he is one dimensional , if he gets the ball , he will try to go solo rather than  Oh gee I dunno , Passing it

Haha, i thought Nigel was saying Albrighton is one dimensional.

Gray is no more one dimensional than the rest of our team, but he's young and always looks like he's got more in him than his limited experience allows him to show on the pitch. Imo. I do realise we havent exactly seen that yet. But he still gets on the pitch every week for me

Looks like Gray is starting then, I wonder if there's an injury? Albrighton has been fairly poor this season but hoping Riyad hasn't picked up a knock as Albrighton is bomb proof usually.

Albrighton a right back possibly as we already know Puel likes attacking full backs and isn't shy on converting midfielders to full back.

Will there be a minute's-silence/remembrance band on at half-time/helicopter landing for the referee to collect the ball with Remembrance Day not too far away?

Andy King left full back it is then!

Not sure what to expect tomorrow.

Really With Shakey gone its the start of a new era.

I hope it goes well for Puel. He's been judged solely on Southampton but I feel we have a a stronger squad to work with even allowing for our issues.

No need to change things too much just show a bit more positivity. Obviously Puel is going to have a major ask moving on the 'unbelieveables' but thats for another day.

I'd be wary of Everton given the effect a departing manager has on a team but I'd feel we need a win at home. Man city/spurs is unlikely to provide that so tomorrow is a bit of a must win.

I would go with;

Schmeichel,

Simpson, Morgan, Maguire, Chilwell,

Mahrez, N'Didi,Iborra, Albrighton,

Okazaki,

Vardy.

Yeah but you`ve been sacked Craig !

A small point: If there is noise from the crowd during the minute's silence then please do not respond by yelling 'shut up'. We've had it a few times, it ought to be obvious that it doesn't help and in fact makes things worse.

Gray was getting a haircut with Riyad; they are going foot forward.

Simpson was getting a haircut with Riyad today. Gray got his haircut alone.

Wouldn't read too much into that Gray post, he does post things like that a lot even when not starting.

We've had one defeat in 7, unbeaten in 4, why would you change the line up that's delivered that?

Because prior to Swansea they were not very good. So some freshening up might be a good thing.

Yes I don't like the "must win" cliche but agree that anything other than a win and the squad and the fans will be beset with doubt and confidence at the club is a bit fragile ATM

No he doesn't, if he's not starting he's either silent or he posts some vague negative connotation.

Because we've been shit during 4 of those games and we haven't played the same time in them either so how can you attribute exactly who's been responsible for the unbeaten run?

People say Albrighton works hard. He actually doesn't. He just spends the entire game in the full back area. Really pisses me off that other players get wrongly hammered whilst he gets away with zero contribution. If Albrighton isn't attacking he is utterly useless.

Gray as sub has impact against tired defenders.   Looks a bit one fimensional when he starts.

He has great talent.  He needs to sort his decision making out and mix it up a bit.  Hes not a starter for  me

We are lucky to benefit from your unbiased assessment.

It’s just like Keegan, McDermott and Thomson getting their perms done together all over again :D
