What do people expect Koeman to be able to do for us that he couldn't do for a bigger spending Everton team who current sit below us on points and with a vastly inferior goal difference after a similarly difficult opening 9 games?

there is a group of players, and then there is a squad, we have the latter.

Looks like we will be having Appleton a bit longer then...

If we're looking at similar names, I can imagine Everton is the more attractive club.

Why?

Can't see anything of value in their trophy cabinet..

This. A potentially bigger salary, plus a recent premier league title and UCL 1/4 finalists makes us a more attractive option. Plus we can see Everton's struggling without Lukaku whereas Leicester managed to keep a hold of its "star players"

Everton's problems weren't simply down to not replacing Lukaka they were all over the place all over the pitch.

The game should be on Sky's PPV boxing channel.

They only show the pub league games on the international weekends :)

Novel idea... hire a manager that's got recent history of succeeding at their last few clubs on an upwards curve. Not a manager just sacked for being horrific and slated for trotting out slow predictable boring football that doesn't even get points.

You mean the manager that, in his last 3 full Premier League seasons, finished 7th, 6th and 7th and was touted for the Barcelona job in the summer?

Drinkwater? lol

No but seriously, Kante is an irreplaceable player, but we still had the pleasure of seeing Leicester in 1/4 of the champions league without him. Everton on the other hand are struggling hard without the Belgian scoring machine

Something similar to his work at Southampton, a club that continually sold their best players and he continually had them playing great football.

Sigh we will have to pull out all the stops on Sunday to get anything from this.

They're not exactly going to magically pull two pacey wingers and a centre forward out of their arse by Sunday mate lol

At worst they'll bring Mirallas back and stick Rooney up top with Vlasic on the other wing. Which although more threatening is still manageable

Can't see why personally.

Perhaps not but they will be fired up and sometimes thats enough when the manager gets canned.

Dont get me wrong i am hoping to get something because our performance on Saturday was cracking.

a lot are saying that Steve Walsh will be sacked as well, would you have them both??

Quite well known that they didn't get on that well.

Can't see why Walsh would want to come back now. Setup has changed a lot since he left.
