No-one cares about it any more the problem is that the pl keep scheduling these international breaks - the player don't want to risk injury... the competition loses momentum.... and the fans are board by it. We lose the excitement of pl fixtures to watch jake livermore...

Wymsey Posted 9 November 2017 Posted 9 November 2017 They could've put forward this game on Friday and the Brazil game on Tuesday a little more forward, so the next league game would feel closer to look forward to.
foxinsocks Posted 9 November 2017 Posted 9 November 2017 even drinky has turned southgate down - I wonder what southgate's manner is like on the phone.
AjcW Posted 9 November 2017 Posted 9 November 2017 The Drinky situation is strange, yes he's been struggling with injuries for a while now but that's probably the 5th squad he's declined a call up to? I mean he will probably still get a WC call up by default but you'd think he'd be doing anything to be around the squad even if he had to sit on the bench. I wonder if there's more to it with him.

fazzyfox Posted 9 November 2017 Posted 9 November 2017 If only Matty James wasn't injured he would have been called up by now. I hear Gareth Barry has cancelled his golf day just in case! I know Vardy missed the last squad and played the next league game but if Alli, Kane and W*nks all play in their game v Arsenal next Saturday it'll be a farce. I had hoped to see the games used to incorporate the Kane and Alli partnership, we'll now head into World Cup year none the wiser.

And I'm injured! Yeah that's it, got a buggered leg innit." "No worries Danny, have you got the number for..." *CLICK* *Dial tone*

urban.spaceman Posted 9 November 2017 Posted 9 November 2017 Calvert-Lewin will apparently be starting tomorrow. 1 goal in 11 appearance this season. Vardy has 6 in as many games. What a farce.

I've said before, it's difficult to detect sarcasm when its written down on the internet, so, at the risk of being made to feel like i'm the idiot, i'll bite... You are aware he's in the under 21 squad, right?

Rogstanley Posted 9 November 2017 Posted 9 November 2017 A squad player who hasn’t started a game all season rejecting the opportunity to get some minutes in against Germany and Brazil has got to be a new low for both the England national team and international football in general. If Southgate had any balls he’d tell the benchwarmer he’s just sacrificed his spot on the bench in Russia but we all know what that won’t happen. If these players don’t want to play for England in games like this then they shouldn’t be allowed to play in the World Cup. **** em.
CollinsLCFC Posted 9 November 2017 Posted 9 November 2017 Butland out with a broken finger. Pickford to make his debut. An underperforming keeper within an underperforming team and Pope gets overlooked.
AyewJoking Posted 9 November 2017 Posted 9 November 2017 maybe drinky feels he should concentrate on getting 100% for the club that pays his wages?

Legend_in_blue Posted 9 November 2017 Posted 9 November 2017 Would have been the perfect opportunity to gain match fitness, surely not shy away from it. He's a lazy bugger is what he is. That Chelsea bench is too comfy for him to leave.
