Rusko187 Posted 30 November 2017 Posted 30 November 2017 Potential banana skin here, would take a draw now.

You're conveniently forgetting that in that season we completely tore teams apart and were more than worthy of our position in the top 4 at this stage. It would be very generous to say they are showing the same sort of form, both in terms of results, and in terms of performances, that we were. Burnley are 6th for a reason, because they're clinical and defend very well as a team. I cant knock that. However - to suggest fixtures haven't been kind to them would be completely naïve. They've played 6 out of the bottom 8. At home. It's November. For contrast we've played 2. Again - they've done brilliantly to pick up points at Chelsea (They faced 10 men for 90% of the game and 9 men for 10% of it), Spurs and Liverpool (where they faced a combined 63 shots). I'll start showing a bit more respect for them in a couple of months. Their manager is a complete and utter bellend, for me, making his team pretty unlikeable. They've got a horrendous run in January/First week of Feb where they play Spurs, United twice, Liverpool and City in 6 weeks. If by that stage they're still showing a similar league position I'll happily hold my hands up and eat my words.

Max Wall Posted 30 November 2017 Posted 30 November 2017 You'd expect this to be a tight affair with very few goals. 3-3 then.

I'm sorry are these all crap teams?

Bournemouth are toilet. P.S beating a team with 10 men, finishing with 9 men, doesn't get a huge round of applause from me.
Foxxed Posted 30 November 2017 Posted 30 November 2017 If we're facing a solid defence I wouldn't mind seeing Mahrez floating in the number 10 position, pulling their defence this way and that while they try to cover him, especially as Shinji's constant pressure and workrate may be less effective here.

Pochettino was gracious enough to not even talk about the possible Rose pen but Dyche would go on a tirade about it and how little small Burnley is always hard done by (hello Sam Vokes). .... dubious ?? Meadowlark Lemon would've been proud of that one.
harpendenfox Posted 30 November 2017 Posted 30 November 2017 four years ago Leicester and Burnley were taking a stranglehold on the Championship (and England were losing to Australia down under). What a four years it has been for both clubs. For the first time in ages I reckon I can go to a game in a relatively calm state of mind. We're 9th, they're 6th, these are two solid Premiership teams, and both sets of supporters can be justifiably proud of their teams. Then of course there is the return of Woody, who scored that thunderbolt at Burnley which pretty much guaranteed we would be promoted as champions. More recently, as a glutton for punishment, I witnessed an almost inevitable utterly appalling 1-0 defeat at their place earlier this year as the Claudio era slid to its oh so sad demise. Things looked so bleak back then. Leicester and Burnley are surely the standout overperformers of the last few years in English football. They've done well, we rewrote the history of football.

Good goal but they didn't need to do all that. Pivotal part was the cross field ball from Brady. Let's not tell Dyche that, cos they're just the counter attack away from being us in 15/16....

So the moved developed to the final moments with a cross field pass, so bloody what. They scored a good goal. Sounds like you’d be peed off if Messi took a touch too much on the way to scoring a hatrick....@-@

sm1 Posted 30 November 2017 Posted 30 November 2017 The problem is Burnley have a great defence and we'll need to score atleast 2 to win(I expect Wood to score from a corner/free kick because we're so shit at defending). Lets hope Burnley have an off day. City to win 3-1.
