AjcW Posted 29 November 2017 Posted 29 November 2017 I think the line up against Everton would be ideal for this. I know a lot of people didn't like Chilwell left mid but i'd like to see it tried again. I also think after all his hints at rotation there may well be a start for Dragovic, whether that be at CB or RB i don't know. So Kasper Drag Morgan Maguire Fuchs Gray N'didi Iborra Chilwell Mahrez Vardy

Exactly what I think as they'll set up in a similar manner as they have when playing the big boys, lot of people on here are underestimating Burnley.
Ted Maul Posted 29 November 2017 Posted 29 November 2017 So we spend the last few days mocking Spurs for their overconfidence and arrogance on their match thread, then serve up exactly the same for Burnley. Typical. They're a very well-organised team playing some good stuff at the minute. I'm hoping we can beat them, but they've turned better sides than us over already this season- it certainly won't be easy.

Chico1958 Posted 29 November 2017 Posted 29 November 2017 I'd be happy with either a win or a draw tbh Not sure it'll happen though.they're one point from top 6
lifted*fox Posted 29 November 2017 Posted 29 November 2017 I don't expect Puel and the players will discount Burnley like many on here have done and good job really as they're an organised, difficult team to beat at the moment. It's that kind of overconfidence and lack of respect that will see them beat us. We need to play these like we played Spurs - 100% commitment and we will win.
dynamark Posted 29 November 2017 Posted 29 November 2017 I think last night showed Riyad and Gray at the same time is probably a risk to the overall team . 20 mins for Gray worked Ok. Burnley should be beaten if we show some serious intent -same team but don't hesitate to use the subs and don't sit deep back on a lead

Douche would whine about the cost of riyad tbf. Mostly because he's shit at transfers and needs to deflect.

They've strung a few decent moves together, but primarily they really do sit very deep and just invite teams onto them. They had 39% possession at home to Swansea! They have the second worst possession stats in the whole league. I don't think they will just put 10 men behind the ball all game and defend like crazy. They are better away than at home this season.
Guest Col city fan Posted 29 November 2017 Posted 29 November 2017 Can't see anything other than a home win. 2-0
st albans fox Posted 29 November 2017 Posted 29 November 2017 Burnley playing away tonight. so they won't train tomorrow. This probably means they can only prepare and train Friday and come down to Leicester Saturday am or late on Friday. Whichever way you look at it , it's far from ideal for them. Meanwhile we get the whole of Thursday and Friday to sort out how we approach the game. This alone one gives us a big advantage. I can only think they will try and sort out a few attacking set pieces targeted against our perceived (and actual) weaknesses plus a broad formation to counter our likely setup. if we can't get a win from this wil be very dissapointing if only for the above reasons
Farrington fox Posted 29 November 2017 Posted 29 November 2017 They’ve lost 1 prem league game away this season, Man City. This won’t be easy.
lee7 Posted 29 November 2017 Posted 29 November 2017 As the above poster said they're away from is superb this season. They use Chris wood as a target man and it works well for them. I can see him scoring against us.

GloverFox Posted 29 November 2017 Posted 29 November 2017 whilst they are playing full of confidence so far this season and deserve respect for that I do feel we have the talent and flair to beat them .... but, and here’s the big butt! (Clearly not Rachel’s!) it depends which of the spudder beaters or the hampered hammers humdrum team turns up? .... play like we did against West hamper and we are lunchmeat .... hell, I need a sandwiches break!
Spudulike Posted 29 November 2017 Posted 29 November 2017 We'll need to be patient in this one. Low scoring game I would expect but a draw won't be the end of the world. Could go either way but Burnley must fancy it.
FoxinNotts Posted 29 November 2017 Posted 29 November 2017 Kasper Simpson Morgan Maguire Fuchs Mahrez Ndidi Iborra Albrighton Okazaki Vardy Jakupovic, Dragovic, Chillwell, King, Gray Iheanacho, Slimani 2-1
m4DD0gg Posted 29 November 2017 Posted 29 November 2017 Rekon we are good for this. They will be set out for a draw and no mistake so hopefully we can get out the traps quickly.
Koke Posted 29 November 2017 Posted 29 November 2017 If we win we stay 9th but close the gap on Watford (hoping for a Spurs win). After this we got back to back away games at Newcastle and Southampton so we need 3 points.
fuchsntf Posted 29 November 2017 Posted 29 November 2017 Burnley deserve, the respect, that we cryed for in our title season. So lets not get spitefull or snidey. They are having a great season, deserve to be where they are. This wont be any easy game, though I do have us down for a close win... Sean Dyche is doing a top job, and its great to see a new name holding 6-8th in the PL. Wouldnt it be great, if Leicester, Watford, Burnley could push Spurs from that top 6 position. Early days though..early days...
KingsX Posted 29 November 2017 Posted 29 November 2017 While Wes is sixth in the PL in blocked shots, and Simpson is 7th ... Burnley have three in the top ten, including Tarkowski and Mee at #1 and #2. Clearly satisifed to invite pressure, with the CBs to make it work. Gaps will not be easy to create.
