Burnley (H).. Up next.. Thoughts?

They're some unit at the moment. We'll turn up over confident and complacent and concede after 10 mins. Will nick an equaliser. 1-1.

Need to keep up the forward momentum, but can't afford to be complacent.

We need to NOT approach it how most teams approached us in 15/16.

Don't get the lack of respect for what Dyche is achieving at Burnley. They won't park the bus and have been playing some pretty impressive stuff this season. They won't play with such a high line  defensively as Spurs did and they're full of good honest pros who are really playing for each other.

First goal will be crucial. This will be a tough test, perhaps harder than Spurs because we will have to work hardand be more creative to find space in and around their penalty area.

We should be confident of our own qualities but must respect the fact that they are where they are in the table because they deserve to be there.

A tight 1-0 either way is a possibility.

Chilwell absolutely needs to keep his place, not sure Okazaki is needed in this type of game, as good as he is we are likely to need a more creative player against Burnley than against Spurs

Definitely. First choice left back for me. Him and Gray on the left could be deadly. .Albrighton on the right and Marhez in the hole, any hole for that matter, I really don't care.

Really important to follow our great result against Spurs with a win.

Is there an argument for playing Slimani up top and playing Vardy deeper or even as an impact sub?

We know Burnley are well organised and will not give Vardy any space to get in behind, they will prepare to face Vardy and it will throw out their game plan if they have to deal with big Slim and then 3 from Vardy, Mahrez, Gray, Okazaki, Albrighton, Nacho(?) playing off him.

Steady on chaps, they're going well this season.

I do think if we get our our act together we're capable of 7th. But the inconsistency has to stop, starting with a strong performance on Saturday.

given the type of game i can see Burnley playing, I'd personally bring in Graay from Shinji and put Riyad in the number 10 role in the middle, gives us a bit more of a creative outlet too

Unfortunately Slim is terribly rusty at the moment and down on match fitness and confidence, or it might have been something worth considering. Slim might be played behind Vardy though.

PLAY THEM ALL :riyad:

7-0 Leicester. A literal pound note bangs in the 7th and celebrates in Dyche's face

If the Leicester vs Tottenham comes out we should have enough to win.

If the Leicester vs West Ham comes out we'll likely lose.

Will be a very tough test of how far we've come under Puel so far, a win would be a fantastic result.

Looking at recent performances (probably even further back), I don’t think Mahrez would be effective in the 10 role. He doesn’t release the ball early enough, if at all, to play there.

This sounds about right

That said I don't think Burnley are all that

Dont change a winning team for me.

I am very excited to see how Iborra and ndidi do again as iborra had a cigar and smoking jacket on last night against apparently some of the best players in the premier league and Englands first choice centre mid Dier and Ali.

They are having a really good season so far and Sean Dyche has them well drilled so it won't be the easy game a lot of foxes fans would think it will be! but we certainly have the players that can hurt them. we are at home so the onus is on us to get at them. if we can score early and then keep the momentum going and not give anything away at the back.

I agree he just isnt a central player.

If they are going to be well drilled against how we play, then I say play something different, we've seen enough teams play deeper, give Vardy no space behind and swamp Mahrez. It is not a surprise that  Vardy has scored a lot against the top six as they will not change their style to counter ours, Burnley will as Huddersfield, Bournemouth and West Brom did.

This is a chance for Puel to do something other than the same team, don't get me wrong they were great against Spurs, but Shinji and Vardy ran a lot and fresher legs and a change of approach may cause Burnley more problems than Vardy running into brick walls all game.

Think he might bring Gray back in. Might need someone who can beat a couple players to break them down. Will be tough.

Win it and we start to look quite good in the table with a couple more winnable games coming up after.

Depends on your definition, they will surrender possession, sit back and wait for us to make a mistake. They've strung a few decent moves together, but primarily they really do sit very deep and just invite teams onto them. They had 39% possession at home to Swansea! They have the second worst possession stats in the whole league.

Its games like this where a change in personnel wouldn't bother me. Got a lot of games coming up so I would like to see Slimani on from the start. The sort of game where Okazaki can come on from the bench since he put a real shift in last night.

Same with Mahrez/Gray. Let Gray start this game with Mahrez to come on if required.

Im quite happy with the squad we have. So a few changes I think would be healthy for the squad. Burnley are having a good season but lets be honest how many of their players would you take from them? I like Tarkowski (If that's how you spell it) he's having a great season.

Leicester reject up front (Bit harsh on Wood but true none the less) for them so surely this should be 3 points.

If Dyche knew how much Musa and Slimani cost, in particular, and how little input they had, he'd be fuming at the waste of money..
