lol it seems everyone deep down (faux hate included) is rather papping themselves for tomorrow.

I'll be there and hopefully to see a city win, but I'm dam certain its going to be one of our toughest games at home this season........

I think everyone is confident but respectful really... It's a game we should be winning at home after all if we want to Finnish where we do.

3 points would be great, 1 point not the end of the world... but more importantly I just want to see progress with the new style and the players being more comfortable of what's being asked, hopefully ending up in us performing well for more than 40 minutes in the first half.

Burnley are a tough nut to crack and more than capable of getting a goal themselves, so it won't be easy. But we have the individuals that can make a difference in those sorts of games.

Really looking forward to the game.

Im hoping for a win today but id love to see a team like Burnley pushing for a top 6 finish at the end of the season, going on to show that you dont need to spend 100s of millions to get there. People will underestimate them because theyre only Burnley just like they did us. Good luck to them (after today).

Burnley could finish second for all I care as long as we finish above them!

You don’t need to spend all that much to win the title... we proved that!

I think it’ll be tougher today than some are giving credit for though.

Just hope we play to our strengths and keep hunting down those 50-50 balls. Feel like it’s a game for Shinji to shine.

I'd be tempted to rotate up front and start Nacho over Shinji. He should be fresh, even Slim managed to bag two against these last season and it'll be a welcome confidence boost if he's sharp enough to take opportunities. Hard decision given how integral Shinji was mid-week, I know.

Burnley have been on point away from home this season, they've come out of their shell and can really be a potent and well organised force and when it gets tough they still have that old shell to roll back into. Preferably you'd wanna give them a snide boot or two, impose some dominance and take the chance we've gotta make.

Wood's looking leaner and meaner than what we saw of him. It wasn't that his game was flawed here, was more that his game wasn't quite up to scratch just yet, his time as the main man at Leeds has really helped him sharpen up and his sale pushed some money back up, done nothing worthy of a booing, unless he celebrates infront of us Fryatt style. That said he has strengths and weaknesses.

Expecting it to be tough today.

You know what to expect from Burnley, they're a well organised side, they work hard as a team but one thing I've noticed this season is their ball movement, their ball movement especially in the final third is underrated, they've scored some bloody decent goals this season by passing the ball incredibly well.

If we don't put the work in ourselves and compete for every ball they'll turn us over.

One of those games where I believe we can win, but it wouldn't surprise me also if we draw or even lose.

I find their current situation quite surprising, given that most of their team/squad is assembled mainly via Championship-type players?

At the moment, they've got nothing to lose in the league - as most people, and probably even most of their fans, would've snapped your hand off if they were guaranteed PL safety at the start of the season.

I can't see them panicking if they lose today, as they still have a very healthy gap from the bottom half of the table.

It's similar to what we proved, the actual quality of your players is probably secondary to your set up and your team spirit etc, they seem to be following a similar pattern.

I’ve only seen them against Newcastle and they were naff so based on that I think Leicester will win 4-0

Remind me, what was the result against Newcastle?

Tough call he does like his rotation so could be possible although Albrighton probably had his best game on Tuesday so happy with either however Burnley are not exactly full of deadly players so Gray would make sense.

Does this sound kinda familiar?

I think that this is winnable (unlike Man City) but it will be tough. Burnley are where they are for a reason and they, and Dyche, deserve all our respect for it

True tbqh, that, but looking at their squad there's not many names you'd associate to be in a position of where they are currently.

Didn't know they have Jonathan Walters.

We have more quality than Burnley but we shouldn't underestimate them. They can be a very dangerous side. Let's hope they don't get an early lead because if they do I expect Dyche will park the bus.

With the win against Spurs it's vital we get a good performance from the lads and hopefully 3 points to keep the momentum going.

3-2 I'm going for today. Vardy double and Maguire from a set piece.

Posted

We've only really ever scored goals against this lot from crosses, if we think we're going to hit them on the counter over the top we can think again. Slimani might have a massive role to play today, if it's 0-0 or we're losing after 50-55 mins then I hope we bring him on.

Same team for me but let three players run themselves out and use the subs a lot earlier .Nacho,Slim and Gray if heeded to keep the pressure up their end of the pitch.

All good enough players.

They've given up 11 in 14 matches.  If we can score three we will really have turned the corner.

They're still just a bunch of (albeit successful) cloggers . I expect they will secure a draw so 1-1

Just back from spoons in loughborough before i head to the match. The buggers not only messed up and gave my food away to a table of Burnley fans, but then I was treated to several rounds of the Burnley fans' songbook, which is taken directly from a Year 3 assembly.

I swear to god if I have to hear another round of 'Kum-by-ah, Jack Cork, Kum-by-ah'...

Let's smash these fvckers. :Dlol

well, it's quite true to say that Burnley is not the most sophisticated of places.....think a downmarket version of Coalville or Nuneaton
