Vacamion Posted 29 November 2017 Posted 29 November 2017 To those of you wishing Burnley well. You do realise, don't you, that if Dyche takes Burnley anywhere near Europe, there will be a clamour for him to be the next England manager when Southgate fails in Russia next summer. It's not so far fetched. Over the last 15 years there have been calls for Boothroyd, Pardew and Howe to be given a go. You just have to be English and relatively successful for a brief while. If Allardyce can get the gig, so can Dyche. We need to crush Burnley for the good of the English game. Let's have them thrashed 4-0. C O Y B

In their shoes, Their fans should be thinking about a realistic top 5 for Xmas, Even if we take points off them...Mind you with a good wind, so could we...!!
ARM1968 Posted 29 November 2017 Posted 29 November 2017 Burnley owe us a fuching win. Robbed us blind a few times. I fuching detest Sean Dick with an absolute passion. That being said, they’re playing well and they’re a tough outfit. A win for us would be great, but I can see a draw or narrow loss unfortunately. Hope they keep going, just not at our expense.
Guest Dirkster the Fox Posted 29 November 2017 Posted 29 November 2017 Love how SD didn’t become our manager and all of a sudden (to some) he’s like Judas (again)..... Tip your hat to Burnley FC and SD......a town slightly smaller than....Nuneaton, with 20,000 watching every other week and they could be 11 points ahead of the 2016 Premier League Champions by 5pm Saturday..... ......and only a 3rd of the season played.
FoxinNotts Posted 30 November 2017 Posted 30 November 2017 Genuine question; when was the last time Mahrez had back-to-back excellent performances?

hackenbacker Posted 30 November 2017 Posted 30 November 2017 ummm slightly worried about this one "Burnley recorded their fourth away win of the season, their highest tally in a Premier League campaign"
StriderHiryu Posted 30 November 2017 Posted 30 November 2017 Quite the season they are having, and even more incredible when you consider they sold Keane and Grey who were two of their best players last year. I still think we will win though. Ultimately this game is a great test to see what the rest of the season has in store for us. If we want that 7th place finish then we will need to win games like these.
Koke Posted 30 November 2017 Posted 30 November 2017 I hope we win via a dubious handball at the end. Pochettino was gracious enough to not even talk about the possible Rose pen but Dyche would go on a tirade about it and how little small Burnley is always hard done by (hello Sam Vokes).

C O Y B I actually cant see a problem with Dyche being the England manager. He would be better than the standard 'yes men' that the FA tend to go for. Allardyce would have done the same as Southgate if it wasnt for our press.

Dyche has been banging on about the new guidelines for players diving ( wants to make it a hanging offence or close to). his attempt to position himself as some sort of guardian of the values of the game comes across as utter hypocrisy given his usual one-eyed approach to things that affect him and his teams
Callabinho Posted 30 November 2017 Posted 30 November 2017 They are an excellent side. Big, strong, physical and a smattering of quality where needed. Having said that if we want to be too 6/8 we need to put these to bed. We will win, but it will be a tough game.
Wolfox Posted 30 November 2017 Posted 30 November 2017 Will be the acid test on how far we have or have not progressed….
sk3since03 Posted 30 November 2017 Posted 30 November 2017 Developing a soft spot for Burnely now, i genuinly hope they finish top 6 Going for a city 2-0 win though
ARTY_FOX Posted 30 November 2017 Posted 30 November 2017 I despise Dyche and anything Ashley Barnes related. Don't really hate Burnley though. They're doing pretty well this season. Won't be an easy game. Same team as Tuesday. Maybe play slim to attack crosses.
HitchinFox Posted 30 November 2017 Posted 30 November 2017 I have an irrational hatred of Dyche. I'd be very happy to see any team managed by him get relegated by goal difference on the last day of the season, to make it extra painful, then get involved in an air disaster during their trip home. Market lead that, you ginger cnut.
Fox92 Posted 30 November 2017 Posted 30 November 2017 Dyche is continuing to impress there, fair play to him. It'll be a tough game, I can't see them attacking that much but their away results have been superb this season.
daddylonglegs Posted 30 November 2017 Posted 30 November 2017 They're bloody good at beating crap teams - theres about 10 of them in this league - and taking a point elsewhere. We've got to be able to beat Burnley at home if we want to become a top 10 club. Simple as.
Foxxed Posted 30 November 2017 Posted 30 November 2017 I didn't realise how far up they are in the league, or their recent form. We're pretty much aiming for their position and form. Big game.
HighPeakFox Posted 30 November 2017 Posted 30 November 2017 It is a mahoosive match, and I'm quite sure the players will know that. Also, in Chris Wood, we're up against a familiar foe. I wish I could attend...
Tommy G Posted 30 November 2017 Posted 30 November 2017 Hoping we can beat them but can't see it being high scoring, 1 or 2 nil or a 2-1. Wood for them
Guest kristianity77 Posted 30 November 2017 Posted 30 November 2017 If we play close to our best then we win this. The only reason Burnley get a result out of this is if we allow them to.

I know they Beat Chelsea away, bloody crap team them. (Drew at Liverpool and Spurs away, more really crap teams) Beat Southampton away and Bournemouth away and both are utter crap teams in this league. Have they actually played anyone any good yet this season?
