RODNEY FERNIO Posted 14 March 2018 Posted 14 March 2018 A truly great mind .. RIP .. although I think Roger Penrose does not get as much credit as he deserves ... another great mind, who worked closely with Hawking.
lgfualol Posted 14 March 2018 Posted 14 March 2018 Weird that I am so shocked despite him living with a disease that the doctors said would kill him by age 23. To live to 76 is unreal. Genius. He will be missed.
cambridgefox Posted 14 March 2018 Posted 14 March 2018 The world and Cambridge bows it’s head to a genius( an actual genius) A friend of mine is best friends with his daughter Lucy and have been to gatherings together,so my thoughts her with her today.
Webbo Posted 14 March 2018 Author Posted 14 March 2018 I can't believe we'll never hear his voice again.
SouthStandUpperTier Posted 14 March 2018 Posted 14 March 2018 Comedian and Bullseye host Jim Bowen gone, aged 80. Certainly not super, smashing or great news.
TiffToff88 Posted 14 March 2018 Posted 14 March 2018 It's turning into 2016 all over again. Another year full of big celebrity deaths!
Izzy Posted 14 March 2018 Posted 14 March 2018 I saw Jim Bowen do live stand up at Butlins years ago - he was hilarious. Loved watching Bullseye as a kid and as Webbo would say, another part of my childhood disappears today

Wymsey Posted 14 March 2018 Posted 14 March 2018 Call me old-fashioned but sometimes enjoy watching him and Bullseye than some of the quiz shows that are on today. A shame the new version under Dave Spikey didn't really take off.
MrSpaM Posted 14 March 2018 Posted 14 March 2018 I was watching a compilation of "What you could have won" clips on youtube last night and was in stitches, what a show Bullseye was
separator Posted 14 March 2018 Posted 14 March 2018 Darts on primetime TV, where the top prize was a speedboat... a time when telly gameshows were worth watching. RIP Jim
Durnerz Posted 14 March 2018 Posted 14 March 2018 So Stephen Hawking and Jim Bowen died today....following bullseye tradition with the non dart player going first.
Rincewind Posted 14 March 2018 Posted 14 March 2018 Ken Dodd, Stephen Hawkins and now Jim Bowen that's three in a death bed.

isaidno Posted 14 March 2018 Posted 14 March 2018 used to love watching bullseye on Sunday teatime. Was watching an old episode on challenge TV the other night. They scored about 31 in the final round, and they could of won a Vauxhall Nova.

If you won you got a speed boat because ITV had done a deal with the suppliers.
