Vardinio'sCat Posted 29 January 2018 Posted 29 January 2018 Claude has given us a decent freshness boost with his selection against the Posh, happy days.

I remember both Sunderland and Palace being shite for a while under him but eventually he got them both in pretty good form. I do think Everton will pick up but not just yet. We're playing them at the right time. Agree, just after the new manager bounce, but before Fat Sam can really get to grips with them.
Tommy G Posted 29 January 2018 Posted 29 January 2018 Could lose 3-0 and an absolute foxestalk meltdown, Puel Out etc etc 1

It's embarrassing that these and Watford are in the top half. Unbelievable almost. Suppose it'll make for a fascinating relegation battle. We should be looking to win this. I'm still yet to see us lose at Everton. Now you've really put the hex on us. For God's sake, don't watch it!

Tuna Posted 29 January 2018 Posted 29 January 2018 They've not won for ages, but you've got to fancy us the way we've been playing. With Drago, Mahrez, Vardy, Wilfred etc well rested ahead of this one, I'm expecting a good performance.
Ric Flair Posted 29 January 2018 Posted 29 January 2018 They've not kept a clean sheet in ages. They've been dog shit and Walcott now plays for them who's a nemesis of ours. You can see it happening a mile off. 2

foxy boxing Posted 29 January 2018 Posted 29 January 2018 It's a tough call for Claude whether or not he includes some of the players from the Posh game that played really well into the first team against Everton. it's a tough game as they have new signings and a fresh impetus under Big Sam. it would be nice to think we will start the game with the same mentality and get at these right from the start!

RowlattsFox Posted 29 January 2018 Posted 29 January 2018 We can definitely win the game but I'd be relatively satisfied with a point. As long as we continue to show a positive intention then I'll be happy.

AjcW Posted 29 January 2018 Posted 29 January 2018 I'd not normally suggest starting someone after a good debut against a league 1 side.... but the thought of Diabate against their defence has me excited...

My Everton mate said my brother and I would be welcome anywhere as long as we display out scarves and shirts proudly... hmmmm. i mean it’s pretty similar to most places, don’t go in leicester city face paint and don’t try and start singing “u dirty northern bastards” etc and you won’t have any trouble, but it’s a bit grim drinking off queens drive/round the park and stuff, town’s easy enough to get to the ground from (it’s on the way if you’re coming over the water) and it’s a billion times better. ship and mitre usually turns into a pre game boozer, accepts men women and kids, home or away and is just a load of people enjoying a ridic selection of drinks. there’s a few other pubs (ones an everton pub but i can’t remember it’s name) on the corners of all the roads next to it, too, if it’s full or not to anyone’s fancy.
Wymsey Posted 29 January 2018 Posted 29 January 2018 If Everton lose a couple, they could even be involved in a relegation scrap. Not convinced by them in being an effective team - hit-and-miss all over it seems imo.
les-tah Posted 29 January 2018 Posted 29 January 2018 Evertons defence was made for us. They dont have any fit fullbacks atm. We also always terrorise Ashley Williams. 2
LCCFox96 Posted 29 January 2018 Posted 29 January 2018 (edited) A win would be an excellent result and we've got form in our favour and more than enough in the tank to get a result at Goodison. But it's got to be about avoiding defeat - I don't mean set up for the draw, I really hate that - but I'd take coming home with 1 point to maintain that 6 point between them and us. Big boys back out with Simpson back in. I'd also go Chilwell over Fuchs because I think the attacking threat on the overlap could be useful vs Everton Schmeichel Simpson Dragovic Maguire Chilwell Mahrez James Ndidi Albrighton Okazaki Vardy Subs: Hamer, Fuchs, Silva, Iborra, Gray, Diabate, Iheanacho Edited 29 January 2018 by LCCFox96

jayfox26 Posted 29 January 2018 Posted 29 January 2018 Definitely think we can beat these but Goodison never an easy place to win, even though they are pretty crap. I'd be reasonably happy with a draw.

Ashley Williams is a god awful centre back. Mahrez and Vardy always have a field day against him. And once they've given him the run around we can throw Diabate on to have a go at him haha 1
Stadt Posted 29 January 2018 Posted 29 January 2018 Remember when that cattlegrid Ashely Williams apparently tried to get on our coach after the game?
