On only two occasions this year we've scored more than 1 goal in a home game in the league - And both those were over 2 months ago

Puel's non-scoring reputation, that most people were concerned with when he was appointed, has got more & more true the longer he's had influence on our players

Did those 1st two months where he got good results & climbed the table from our false position flatter to deceive, bearing in mind he only tweaked our tactics & we generally played the same style we always had? or is he on the cusp of securing a regular top 6 spot in line with the owners long-stated wishes?

He did abit more than just tweak the tactics we kept the ball a hell of alot more and kept passing it around if nothing was on but we had alot more intent with the ball than we do now. **** knows why he stopped that. Possession is more important than goals for him.

I never have liked playing one up front.

you can't play 442 long term so it would need to be 352, when Riyad goes in the summer maybe that's what we are planning on doing

You can't? Manchester United did it for years, Atletico have been too. Why can't we?

tell you what swap our squad for Atleti's and fine but with our squad we cannot do it and be a decent progressive attacking side. Man Utd did it at a time when almost everyone played 442

It worked once in no small part due to N'Golo Kante having the stamina of 40 marathon runners and people don't want to move on from it. Personally I'm sick of seeing defend for our lives and twat it for Vardy to chase football, being played off the park by Huddersfield, Bournemouth etc. that's what happens when this squad plays 442

Vardy has looked far too isolated lately as many have said over the past few weeks, there is a lack of linkage between midfield and attack, Okazaki has been injured, Iheanacho worked at WBA but backs it up with another shit performance yesterday. I said after the game yesterday we've always been a side who likes to cross the ball, when we have Simpson and Chilwell as our full backs though they can't produce the service, therefore we're relying heavily on Albrighton or Mahrez to conjure up a bit of magic from wide areas. Another frustrating problem I've found over the past month is the lack of players committing, not enough players are getting forward, it's Vardy in the box against three defenders. We're a team with no Plan B striker, I say it so many times but letting both Slimani and Ulloa go was fvcking ridiculous.

When Puel first arrived teams were fairly content to attack us and leave space in behind as were languishing in the bottom half, since our results picked up the bottom half sides are content with a point and sit deep. It's not as if Puel has said "Right lads, when Vardy's got acres of space to run into I want you to pass it sideways between yourselves" what has happened is that more often than not Vardy doesn't have the opportunity. It's why we looked threatening going forwards against Liverpool, Spurs and Man City (before they walloped us) because they leave space in behind.

Undoubtedly there are times where we are too passive in our build up play but we can't set up up to play on the break at home because against most of our opponents the game would end 0-0.

We get it that you don't like Puel.

If only it was so easy to "get a regular top 6 spot" just because the owners and some fans state they want it.

Personally I feel that we could've got 6th spot this season if only Mahrez hadn't thrown a mardy and halted our great progress, but I think it's unrealistic to expect top 6 when you've only been top 6 once in over 50 years, so maybe we wouldn't have. Perhaps you need some perspective.

In answer to your question, a little less greediness, a little more accuracy and a little more experience is probably needed for us to move up to the top 6 level of football. I don't put it at the door of Puel.

This pretty much sums up most of our problems. Vardy is too isolated and neither Okazaki or Kelechi are good enough in the support role.

We also lack real pace in the team which means the support is to slow in backing up the play. Players are to willing to pass when sometimes it's best to hold onto the ball and draw in an opponent, Then pass it.

I've said it before the good teams hunt in packs. there's always 3 or 4 players backing up the play.

We panic at the back to easily. it was embarrassing looking at us struggle to clear a ball from our box when all was required was a simple pass.

No of these things will change if we keep the same squad. We need to rebuild and buy players to do a job rather than good players. if that makes sense to some. Puel can't be blamed for any of problems he needs to be allowed to add the quality needed to make his style work.

Puel cant Score how can He..!!!

Vardy/Mahrez/Albrighton/Okazaki/Gray,

Then Ndidi etc have all had the chances to Score, where before Oct 2017,we we're Not even creating.

Under Puel, the chances are there, but the actual Players in those Goal taking positions,to a man

Haven't been clinical enough,Puel has given the tactics that created those chances,

his selections have found themselves in Front of Goal, and Blew IT!!!

More chances, than the previous 16+Months.So Whats Your Point.

Yesterday 4 yes ,four within 8yards then  missed/blocked.

We haven't been incisive or clinical enough, that are the Guys on the Pitch.

Plus wrong choice,or poor Pass when opening was there, thats the Players.

Every single Player guilty,of lacking forethought and calm.To much hectic.

What concerns me is that essentially we have only two players who look capable of scoring regularly at this level. Also when Vardy picks the ball up wide we mostly don't have any player in the opponents box.

Scoring isn't the problem.

It's needing to score 2/3 goals to win a game thats the problem.

And concede more goals than 10 other teams.

It's quite simple no one else scores regualar other than vardy and mahrez. No one scores from the centre of midfield and we don't look like scoring from set pieces or corners. We were a threat when walsh or elliott used to go up.

I agree, our defence is poor but I was just replying in terms of the thread.

We're on track to where we wanted to be when we got promoted. Take out the unexpected league win and things are going really well for us. We've been all over the place since winning the title. Managerial stability will help us kick on more than chucking money around the transfer window. Stay calm and carry on I say.
