OMG. A noob who likes making threads. It's not that we don't have many other threads talking about who we should sign is it?

Who are the majority of our top players who will be leaving?

Mahrez and .......?

I’ve always been of the opinion Vardy wouldn’t leave us but under these tactics with lack of support or service it’s frustrsting to watch - must be even more frustrating to be the player - Yes he’s scored recently but it’s like watching him play for England, he’s everywhere but where he’s supposed to be.

Ndidi. Maguire I think has his head screwed on and think will stay but if there’s an offer there he may get his head turned.

Of course all of this (including Mahrez) is all subject to interest from other clubs but you’d think there would be.

I said a few weeks ago clubs might not really want them but the top clubs buy players just so other teams can’t have them.

I've given up hope of us signing a no.10 or a right back in my life time, just not going to happen. Ideally I'd want a couple of full backs but I imagine Fuchs will see out the last year of his contract and Chilwell probably won't be going anywhere so I'd be fairly surprised if a left back were to come in. Fingers crossed we spend big on another out-and-out striker to play out of position in the hole and a promising new centre back to sit on the bench when Dragovic goes

I don't believe the club will let Vardy, Maguire or Ndidi go, they will, apply the same logic as they did with Mahrez, we aren't selling our best players unless you match our price. We are no longer a selling club so i don't see the majority of our better players leaving anytime soon.

Well that's what I'm hoping.

Ha ha yeah the thought crossed my mind that I'd written that list a few times now.

I'm unsure on the left back, I really think with time the sort of player we need could be Chilwell. Sort out the final ball and the odd brain fart at the back and I think he's more than good enough for what Puel wants. I'd give him more time I think.

Chilwell is shit mate tbh. If he didn't get so much stick on here that it triggers your contrary nature, you'd admit you agree as well.

He hasn't improved one iota since he made his debut.

He has the odd game where the opposition are shit and he runs rampant down the flanks, especially later on, he's a terrific athlete.

But he's a bollocks Premier league footballer and he's not going to be a good one any time soon. Maybe he's a late bloomer, maybe he gets back here further down the line with more experience. But he's not good enough to be our starting left back now, the goals he's cost us this year are testament to that.

To any who says a stronger backup to Kasper that would actually threaten his position, I don’t think such exists. Either you buy someone to replace him or not. Anyone good enough to threaten his position wouldn’t come unless  likely to replace.

I'm not trying to be contrary, the lads made 15 league starts. I think he's made a lot of mistakes like everyone else does, I would just like to give a 21 year old more time to learn than 15 games.

I think saying he's shit is harsh, I think he's got some natural ability, a good engine, can go past players. His decision making is what's letting him down, you can learn from that over time if you're given it. We're probably going to be mid table for a couple of years, I think it's the time to give promising youngsters some time to grow.

But I don't agree he's a promising youngster, that's the issue.

I think we get obsessed with every young player who's half decent and we get in to this daft Football Manager style mentality of "his attributes are going to get much better because he's young and has" POTENTIAL."

I tend to switch off when people start banging on about potential because nobody's got a ****ing clue what it means.

Ndidi has shown signs of improvement, he showed good footballing intelligence from the start, you could see that as he gained experience and relaxed in to the role that he'd improve as an asset to our team.

Iheanacho, right from his debut at man city, you could tell he's an excellent finisher with good movement around the box. He had those attributes already, the rest of his game, the game management, he's got to develop and learn but you can tell from watching him he understands a game of football.

Chilwell is ****ing retarded, as is Demarai Gray. They're spiritual successors to Jeff Schlupp, it's not just making the odd wrong decision they just know absolutely nothing about football. They have some intuitive ability but that's about it, they make consistently stupid decisions because they aren't clever. They have no footballing intelligence.

Gray might go on to have a Zaha level career because he's got the touch and technique but Chilwell? He just does not get it.

I'm yet to be convinced that that's something a footballer can really, really build on.

Bale, absolutely shit full back, no defensive brain what so ever. Difference is it was evident from day one that he had staggering technical ability. Chilwell doesn't.

Nor is he improving at all. I can't think of any area of his game that has gotten better since his debut.

Attacking left back and right back, given Puel seems to want to play with technically gifted, overlapping full backs.

Dragovic/other CB, then start to bring a CB up through the U23's.

Right winger to replace Mahrez.

Would say that is about all. Possibly a new attacking midfielder, but still have hopes that Iheanacho can grow into that role.

I'm sure it has been said before, but I remember both Harry Kane and Jesse Lingard being 'shit' when they were on loan with us.  I must admit, I'm not Chilwell's biggest fan at the moment, but I do think he needs to be given time.

It is not just on the playing front that positions need to be changed.  Hopefully Puel has some ideas of his own and there will be changes made in other ancillary departments such as Scouting/Goal Keeping Coach/Recruitment.

attacking right and left back. Sign drago up and have a look at the yiu huth for another cb maybe a winger to replace mahrez and a big Forward as a plan b if we need to change it up if slim and ulloa leave

Depends on who stays really.

There is likely to be serious interest in both Mahrez and Maguire and I think both are likely to leave. Vardy has already made public his desire to win more trophies and in all honesty that will mean a move away as he possibly has one big move left in his career. It seems unlikely there will be much interest in all those out on loan as they haven't really perfomed at all so we could be a bit handicapped until we can off load them as our squad will be quite large and have a number of players with no real future here.

If Puel is to stay I would say we need;

A right back, a left back, at least one possibly two centre halves, A central midifelder with an iota of creativity and another striker.
