Without the CL money I can imagine our 17/18 accounts won’t look that healthy, but out 18/19 accounts will if we sell Mahrez and the deadwood after July 1st and make our big purchases (like Maddison) after that date also.

Companies can choose their financial year in the UK. many choose to stagger for a lot of reasons, including I expect for football clubs the timing of the league season.

That just isn't true, our financial year end is 31 May so it is 1st June start not July.

From what I can deduce based on everyone's input, the clubs have agreed a fee, the player has agreed terms, just waiting now for his injury to improve so he will pass a medical.

 

Well that's what I hope.
