Well that is the OP's personal opinion.

Everybody is allowed to voice their personal thoughts, just like you guys are to respond.

My personal thoughts, Simpson was never a world beater neither was Ulloa, Okazaki, King, Albrighton etc

We just clicked, playing together for each other, no big ego's no massive pay cheques.

It happens Blackburn remember them!

.....sir Jack invested very heavily, in that team!!!!!!

I did think this. Unless he really does think Chilwell can develop.

Puel gives young players their chance. Chilwell is definitely hit and miss but still a really young player who will improve.

Also Puel played Ricardo at left back at Nice, so he can actually fill in either position if we are desperate.

Personally I like the idea of having two young raiding fullbacks but also having the option of experienced players in both positions for cover or variation. It's a good situation for the squad. I think this is likely to be a good signing for us!

What are the comments saying beneath?

mainly about FFP and Porto selling on the cheap.

The sangria this year begins early! We are not yet at the end of May and we have already sold one of the most respected members of the club and possibly the National Team at this price ... Alex liees, herrera, marega and brahimi !!! So it is easy to get around the financial fair play, sells the whole team at low price ... What a disgrace !!! It will be as it was after the first season of the lopetegui, everything is sold ... Then it is expected that Sérgio Conceição will perform miracles !!!

and some about the player/deal itself, not happy about the price in some!

Very good. It's not even a bit dumb because we have a superior there who is only 18 years old. It is Ricardo's will always been to leave the FCP as soon as possible. So have a good trip and you're very lucky.

A player that cost almost nothing and is sold for 25M € is always a good deal. If it could be for a higher value, it could, but the desire of the player may have had an influence on the decision. It is not known what kind of agreement existed between the club and the athlete ...

25miles !!! jkakaka sales podr these numbers for the premier league are no longer used ... just these directors of the FCPorto ... there must be some beautiful commissions for the leaders in the mix. alex sandro will leave for about 65 million ... and ricardo pereira is sold in a hurry before the World Cup !! LOL what a comedy

The FCPorto could start to set the example and explain the business, commissions, capital gains and where it will be invested, do not go to appear the mumble and invent stories.
So the fans already understood why there is so much money to enter and still be involved in the fair play of UEFA.

Aha ha another great career bounce $$$$ soon nothing is out of the selection and fell by the wayside. Like other Sporting players who have moved into this football colossus. The FCP must be happy, fit a good makeup. And the player will also go content at least one season ...

Sky Sports sources haven’t uttered a word so I don’t believe he’s signed

Chelsea are playing Man Utd in the cup that's more than enough to fill their broadcasting hours.

From Get French Football:

Undeniably one of the best Ligue 1 right-backs of the 21st century.

If Ricardo Pereira's move to Leicester City is confirmed, the Foxes will have Claude Puel and Claude Puel only to thank - player has offers from sides with continental football to offer, but relationship from OGC Nice days clinched it.

Wow. Impressive Mr Puel.

Bollocks. Imagine who a proper manager like Pearson could have signed for us

Really am excited by this one. As much as any in a long time.

Me too, there's really no negatives I can find. I believe we've probably signed the best right back in the world who was obtainable for us.

Rated 10th best right back in the world by 442 magazine https://www.fourfourtwo.com/features/ranked-10-best-right-backs-world and Puel has worked with him so no surprises and he knows exactly what kind of player he's buying.

If we sign him and Jonny Evans I'll be delighted and think our back four with Maguire and Chilwell will be comparable with the big six team's.

Will always have the programmes and the season DVD to help with the memories but his two  best goals, against Man Utd which raised the roof and the final game when he bowed to the crowd.
