Totally agree BUT that mistake was totally down to Wes and no one else. As much as you dont like Puel which i get peoples frustration with, but you when someone ****s up that has nothing to do with organisation. I just think blaming the manager over individual mistakes is harsh

Agreed, but we have seen a few mistakes from Wes recently, so I want to see Puel drop him for our next match. That to me, would at least show that he has the balls to make big decisions when needed. At the moment, he seems to be sticking to this back 4, no matter what the result or performance.

I know what you mean.

But lets first admire what they have done.

So much salt and sour grapes on here mate.

I say fair play to Burnley.

At the end of the day I keep going back to the fact they didn't win for nearly 2 months and we didn't catch them, we had our chance(s), didn't take them.

I dont want to see it.  I have infact seen wnought to know i dont want to go there. Posession football is so 20th century

I think Pep would beg to differ. Man City have easily been the best British football team to ever win the premier league. They’ve pissed all over it, Pep has come in and has made it look easy. At the moment we’re neither here or there, and we can’t keep sacking managers when ever the going gets tough.... because we will end up in the championship, we need to at some point find some stability, and now is an ideal time to do it, just face facts that what happened a few years ago was a freak.... we need to have a think and get back on track and not make knee jerk decisions and end up getting knowhere.

Suzie, the reaction to the goal and the reaction before the goal....there was none, this is the managers problem.  The goal was just a symptom to a larger problem.

Still poor for the corner. It's his job to organise our defence for set pieces.

Old saying Suzie a poor workman blames his tools. Individual fvck ups happen maybe once, bet when it keeps happening it's down to tactics. A few results either winning or losing prove nothing. Under Puel it has told us we are regressing as a team and as a club. Ok go and blame wes, who keeps picking him when it's clear he no longer has it at this level? The manager tha't who. The team was not ok because they had no belief in the tactics they were being told to play  and they have not been ok in that respect for months.  Believe me expect an announcement

at the next loss if not before.

You are right .. i dont understand why Wes is constantly being picked but if we take Drago out of this who else could he pick? Benny? Huth (who hasnt played all season)  And i am saying i think there is more to the Drago situation than, us, as fans are aware of.

And again i will reiterate, do you know this as fact or is it personal opinion? (about the announcement)

Posession works if you have playerrs breaking thru the back four and silva and de breune quality players to make the pass.  Yes it can work for pep. But even liverpool shut them down in 2nd half of 1st leg

Totally. Apart from today i have always thought Wes as stable (NOT exceptional but good enough) but the mistakes of late can not be ignored.

With all the chopping and changing Puel likes to do, im just oblivious to why he is not playing Drago.

Indeed, the individual is only on the pitch because the manager selected him though and it is not like we don’t have alternatives that have performed well this season in Morgan’s absence.

As the captain that lifted the premier league trophy he is a club legend, and always sorry for repeating myself, but if we have serious aspirations of challenging for European football Morgan can’t be an automatic pick anymore. If he wasn’t captain Dragovic would of surely got another go by now.

The players gave up before we even kicked off.

I know the saying 'the table doesn't lie' but we're in an incredibly false position, there are no better teams than us below.

It is, but im sure on MOTD it will show it wasnt even a corner (not that it makes it better, but still)

We're deep in the brown stuff when we cant deal with a burnley corner.

I think our probs are far far deeper

8th is a flattering position for Puel and this team

But 8th it is. Only twice in the last 45 years have Citeh finished 8th or above. So maybe the world is not as bad as we think.

Its really sad that i have replied to so many people today with regards to this. I love Wes .. I am actually quite sad his form has dropped so much in these last few weeks. To me i will never get that pic you speak about with him and Claudio lifting the trophy out of my memory.

If you read my earlier posts, i really dont think he should be playing in the 1st 11. I honestly dont!

I just am not so sure its down to him being the captain (although that would also make sense) there just has to be more to it, comments Drago has made? More money ontop of the loan thing if he plays more games? Puel just not likeing Drago, and wanting to replace with someone new in the transfer window... I honestly dont know.

If this is a manager problem then i will bow down and accept what everyone has said, but for now since we have zero proof either way, i will give him the benefit of the doubt to Puel..

Aye they are :(

European football is highly unlikely.. But hey ho lets hope we still finish in a decent spot this year

The issue for me is that Puel is a man of two minds.

On the one hand, he seems to change the attack constantly and almost randomly (even when there is no need).

On the other, the defence stays constant regardless of performance and Schmeichel, Morgan and Simpson seem undroppable.

Maybe he's got some difficult politics to negotiate in the dressing room, I don't know. But certainly can't carry on like this next season.

There's only one rational course of action in my mind - give him the summer, let him bring in his own players and let's judge him then.

Never in the last 45 years have we been the 20th richest club in the world either. All things are relative.

You're not on your own with your opinion, I agree and said as much in the match thread. But then a man came along to put me straight
