I also think it was offside, wasn't it?

"It's difficult to criticise the officials when its that close" lol

Could sky at least pretend to be neutral?

As much as I want to get worked up about Liverpool getting another favourable referreeing decision, in this case I just can’t.

Carragher’s right. For offside calls that close the officials must be guessing every time.

That said I doubt he’d be saying the same thing if the shoe was on the other foot.

It would be a golden opportunity that they have spurned. Will it come around again? Man Utd may be stronger next year. Man City will still be the team to beat. Will they end up in the Spurs syndrome of always the bridesmaid but never the bride?

Stop it! ALWAYS THE BRIDESMAID

Have you not seen Liverpool’s title record.European record etc

If we do end up selling Maguire I wouldn't mind going for Jan Bednarek. Looks very good player.

Also a swap deal - Redmond and Gray

Liverpool fans moan that Man City get all the luck and get jammy with decisions yet you see so many offsides not being called and going in their favour where they go on to profit from it.

Yes, in the past. I was referring to recent and future years

if liverpool win the league it will be the biggest fluke of the century

Even worse If they end up winning by goal difference and that one goal is the difference

Kelly Cates said the goal wouldn't be looked at next season on the video as Southampton have had chances to clear so I suppose it didn't directly affect the goal.

Considering the money Liverpool have spent on midfielders, they still lack 'something' in there for me.

Naby Keita is clearly a good, solid top flight footballer but he's more West Ham / Leicester / Everton than title winner tbqh.

If I was a Liverpool fan, I know who I'd want in there

Their midfield compared to Man City's is like chalk and cheese.

He's a 'scrapper' almost for me, maybe after a year he'll be more up to speed. We'll see next year!

You look at the talent in that Man City midfield and its ridiculous, then compare that to Liverpool.

Henderson vs De Bruyne

Milner vs Silva

It's one area they really struggle for me.
