Not being funny but I bought you lot this news about benitez early yesterday and basicly got shit for it because folk don't like the fact you hAve a reliable source .

Yes we are in for him and we are still quite fat away however it's lookin promising and he is interested

Bit harsh to bring that up at this stage

of course he is ‘interested’- it means his agent doesn’t have to contact the whole of the market to advise his client is potentially job hunting if Newcastle isn’t sold. Not that this is a secret but it concentrates both parties minds whilst stavely’s deal is apparently still on the table. (Stavely wants Benitez as manager and Ashley wants the highest price).

didn’t he work with Macia before ??

Why would he leave for a smaller club?

Depends on how you define club size. Larger crowds yes but no money to spend and haven't won anything since the days of black and white television.

We are more attractive to Rafa than Newcastle currently are ......

if they had our owners then I suspect the opposite would be true .........

I agree but reading some of the stuff here at times, some here it seems, think we would only be liable to attract big Sam and that the ground expansion is more a case to accommodate him:P though you never know, now that I think about it :sweating: what ever happened to the conspiracy theories thread?

I'd love Rafa to come here but has this newspaper ever been right on footballing issues?

And he seems to be getting the best out of Slimani something no other manager we have had has managed to do

Anyone saying Benitez wouldn’t do a cracking job for us is insane. First thing any new manager will need to do though is get rid of the cvnts in the dressing room.

I'm sure something has been said to someone. Maybe it's Rafa's side saying stuff to pressure the Newcastle board? So many potential sources with so many different  agendas. I won't believe anything until it's announced.

Yes this occurred to me after I posted this. He'll have way more money here.

No thanks

Eddie Howe?

Marco Silva?

Neil Lennon?

Mavis the Tea Lady?

Strange considering he got relegated and then sacked but I'd take Silva. Before Evertons interest he was doing a good job at Watford and even had Hull playing good football.

im clutching at straws, here as I’d love this to be true, but can you chaps confirm anything on this?

my concern is that Benitez’s agent could use us as perfect bait for Ashley to pull his finger out- budget wise...

Am I the only one that doesn't rate Benitez that highly? He's OK but remember he did actually get Newcastle relegated and I could of got them promoted with the team they had.

Dyche has had a smaller budget at Burnley for years but everyone is wanking over the fat waiter?

He's kept Newcastle up with Paul Dummet at the back...

Does that mean we’re insisting he goes on a diet?

Rafa Benitez to Leicester City story is an interesting one. Foxes owners seem ambitious, want a top six side and happy to spend to achieve that. Benitez has similar ambitions but would love to achieve that at #NUFC. Mike Ashley’s next move is a huge one.
