Should be gone now

Whatever the earlier backing...the owners need to say that this type of performance is not acceptable.

At the water break when anotovic was injured he said nothing to his players... he just stood arms folded saying nought.  It was clear he had nothing to say and that they weren't interested if he had.  He is not able to command authority...

Just watching motd this morning cos couldn’t watch it last night (pissed up in a pub in Chapel St Leonard’s)

Hearing Puel with the after match interview, I’ve concluded now that I can’t stand him. He’s dull, he’s boring and couldn’t motivate shit.

I’m not returning to the ground whilst he’s in charge.

After the southampton match he talked of intensity and quality... i knew then he was deluded.

In  honnesty i realised he had to go when we played stoke and swansea.... we had a system that couldn't creat scoring chances....and this wasnt the football i want from my team

not the only one who thought that; the way Puel is keeping his job atm is up there with the same miracle as Jesus coming back from the dead or turning water into wine

I've come to the conclusion that the only words he can use to describe a game of football are:

Intensity

Quality

Confidence

Catastrophe

It's a restrictive list.  You'd think he'd have more to choose from, particularly when every outing each week is as crap as the last.  He's had 19 games ffs.

The statement was merely a rallying call for the final 3 games. The owners aren’t stupid and after today can clearly see he’s lost the fans.

He’ll be gone at the end of the season

I saw stuff going on between ‘suits’ in corporate yesterday post match to know something is afoot. The players are desperate to make sure they are not implicated in this but they will have the finger firmly pointed at them by the media.

hope the new man realises that he needs to clear out some players.

He may feel he has to indulge some senior players to get the dressing room onside that most would rather see depart

I noticed that, when the players came over for that water break puel actually took a step backwards away from his players. There clearly is no leadership from puel.

You could have picked better - we actually scored in those games and made a fair number of chances !  Our first half against Swansea was actually good, given we had just lost an in form Riyad

All the dullard ever talks about is, intensiteee, and qualitee. Pity he couldn’t find any himself.

I may be talking technicalities here, ultimately the owners has said in programme notes and as a message to the fans “he has our backing” it’s as cut and dry as that.

However, when a manager is given a vote of confidence it usually a statement about exactly that and that only, it’s a message and statement that is put out on the official site and social media accounts, maybe even a letter to the press as I posted about Ranieri.

None of the above was done. So I’m not sure it was even meant to be took as a genuine “vote of confidence” as such and purely just passing comments speil within the usual Chairman’s notes.

dont know how the owners can really give Puel their backing after the recent performances and the way most of the fans left yesterday before the lap of thanks rubbish,

and even during the game they should clearly see something isnt right there

This is good, means they'll at least play well for a bit lol

If you're playing well but not getting the results, it's worth persevering. We are not. In fact, at this moment and for the last 3 months our performances have been the worst in the league. The players should take a big share of the blame but it's easier to get rid of the manager. One shot on target against West Ham is never acceptable. The performances outweigh any positives of his tenure.

The stats from the Swansea and Stoke games combined are:

We won possession - 63% to 37%

Shots - 32 to 9

Shots on target - 14 to 3

Corners - 16 to 4

I tried to find the goal expectation stats but couldn't but I'd guess it was about 5 goals to 1 in our favour.

The team have regressed alarmingly in the last couple of months but I can't accept criticising for the Stoke on Swansea matches. We clearly dominated both those teams and should have beat them by a couple of goals each but c'est la vie.

Yes I noticed that as well and thought it told quite a story. Not only was Puel not speaking to them but the players all had their backs to him as if he was irrelevant.

Seems as if it's all turning out to be very much like the Ranieri saga towards the end of his time here last season...... with the players showing the manager no respect and basically not performing for him. Although Puel has the supposed full backing of the owners, I would think that was just a vote of confidence for the next three games, with two now remaining. Would be amazed if he was kept on here for next season now, especially if we get turned over by the north London duo - but stranger things have happened I guess.

There wasn't anything going on between any suits yesterday. Don't know who you saw but top and vichai weren't making any decisions.

The decision was made weeks ago, end of the season.

The players are a disgrace, some are claiming they're injured and just protecting themselves for the workd cup. That they've been let to get away with this is even worse.

Surely out of self respect Claud the Fraud should just quit now

he can’t even begin to think he is making progress surely?

Our owners have been brilliant generally speaking however this next appointment after the Fraud has gone is critical absolutely critical

Self respect won't give him a compensation package though. Managers rarely walk nowadays, probably for that reason.
