didn't he leave Burnley due to being home sick for the south coast?

I think there is a difference between an intense session and having to go in for night training as well as your morning session. By all accounts he also insists on players living near the club.

Umm.

Sounds good to me.

......not sure I can agree with this!!!

If Wagner has us sitting 7th for most of the season and the players are putting in a shift then I can see no problem with the supporters. I assume your post was meant to be flippant and not a true reflection of your understanding of this football club.

We would not be in this position if Puel had us showing some sort of will to win matches and with any improvement in our play.

Thank you

If we don't go after Wagner quickly, I can see him going to Everton in the summer

I think Everton will be thinking bigger than Wagner, as we should.

I'd prefer him to Wagner to be honest, wouldn't be surprised to see us go after someone like Allardyce though if they are looking for Premier League experience. I keep reading that Everton aren't keeping him, and I'm sure he has refused to rule out managing us previously.

Yuck, I hope not! There's a reason every club he has gone to, the fans's have been begging for him to bugger off! Boring, dull, hoooof.. happy with a point crap! No thanks.

Eddie Howe would be a decent appointment though. Plays good football and has experience in the Prem and should really take the opportunity to prove himself at a bigger club with more spending power. Definitely not my first choice but better than many other suggestions on here.

You're right about him deserving a chance at a bigger club with more spending power, his track record with signings is actually pretty good too. My only concern would be regarding Bournemouth conceding over 60 goals every season but I'd happily take a chance on him.

Regarding Sam Allardyce, he does seem to fit the owners' criteria more so than Howe when looking for a new manager though. Almost guaranteed to finish mid table at least too, I could see that particular habit of his being really attractive to Vichai. It might not be pretty but it might be just what we need to steady the ship for a couple of seasons whilst we rebuild.

Huddersfield still have to play Chelsea and Arsenal, and can easily see them losing both of them.

Can see Swansea being able to beat Stoke at home.

So I can see it being very likely that Huddersfield will be relegated, with possibly the worst/2nd worst goal difference in the league.

Do we really want him then? Or even if they manage to scrape survival?

Because I don't perceive him as such and the fact he is being exaggerated by the press because he used to be Klopp's assistant at Dortmund. I'm not saying no, I'm just saying that I can think of many more managers I'd rather have instead. He'd be like 9th or 10th choice for me and that's providing he keeps Huddersfield up.

Can’t ever see Howe leaving to join us tbh. N I’m not to sure how reliable you usually are so I’m going to take this with a pinch of salt.

I agree... You're mad. No, seriously, I think they will possibly scrape a point too.

not wanting him if he gets relegated is a bit results oriented

He has still overperformed in his job. How many of you expected them to be promoted - and then when they were how many of you would have expected them to get 36 or more points?

Having your opinion of the fella live or die on whether they can get a result against Chelsea or Arsenal is exactly the type of short term tunnel vision that the club needs to avoid

If he is the man for the job then he is the man for the job no matter what happens in these 2 games. For me I've made my views pretty clear in other threads that he would be no different to Puel
