Wymsey Posted 5 August 2018 Posted 5 August 2018 Thought it was an entertaining game. Although it's just the first game, but can see Leeds being up there (play-offs if they are consistent and remain patient with the manager if things go temporarily poor). Stoke needs to organise themselves more defensively. The only sour point really was the Leeds manager doing his post-match interview via an interpreter, it just felt awkward tbh.
RowlattsFox Posted 5 August 2018 Posted 5 August 2018 Stoke have gone for the buy experienced but over the hill approach to add to already ageing squad full of players who don’t want to be there. It will probably get them to the play offs in the end but they were shite today.
StanSP Posted 5 August 2018 Posted 5 August 2018 just heard on the EFL Goals programme on Sky that Bristol City, on the opening day, have played a team that ends up getting relegated for the past 2 seasons. They played Forest yesterday
kingfox Posted 6 August 2018 Posted 6 August 2018 Waghorn off to Derby. Waghorn, Nugent and Lawrence, they'll be signing Lloyd Dyer next.

StanSP Posted 6 August 2018 Posted 6 August 2018 Hull slightly fortunate there to take the lead. Not entirely sure Evandro meant that.

StanSP Posted 6 August 2018 Posted 6 August 2018 that marking isn't even non-league standard Actually wait, it's Leicester standard from corners.
Vacamion Posted 6 August 2018 Posted 6 August 2018 Hull just made Alan Hutton look like Riyad Mahrez.
spacemunky Posted 6 August 2018 Posted 6 August 2018 Villa just fell asleep there and Hull still couldn't score

Wymsey Posted 6 August 2018 Posted 6 August 2018 Decent looking games tomorrow, with Middlesbrough v Sheffield United and Forest v West Brom. Think both will be home wins imo.

They're very pessimistic about their chances down these parts. Have sold two of their best three players (Reid and Flint) and could still lose they're other one (Bryan) and have bought a load of shite! Well that's Bryan gone as well now. 6m offer from Villa accepted. Good to see they're not bankrupt anymore...
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 7 August 2018 Posted 7 August 2018 I don't really like them but I've got everything crossed for a WBA win tonight. Preferably by eight goals. And administration for Forest after the game.
Wymsey Posted 7 August 2018 Posted 7 August 2018 Can see it being a tough season for Sheffield Wednesday unfortunately. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/45098384

I know they've been in trouble for a while, a couple of my mates were saying they were struggling but they've been throwing money at it for the past two years now. I think they are a good outside bet to go down if we're choosing one of the bigger clubs but I don't think they will.
Fox92 Posted 7 August 2018 Posted 7 August 2018 Why are there two games today. Not all clubs? Usually League cup round 1 week.
