Nickfosse Posted 5 June 2018 Posted 5 June 2018 Ok, just a bit of positive pre-season fun. Who will be next season’s unexpected star? We’ve got a good tradition of players that have either been ok or even poor developing into excellent players (Vardy, Simpson, Drinkwater for example) or even young players having a breakthrough season in the tradition of Lineker and Heskey. We’ve also had new signings who have landed brilliantly (Kante, Mahrez, Fuchs) Who’s gonna train on or enchant us immediately this season? i think one of Iheanacho, Diabate or Gray will break through but I can’t work out which at the moment ?
Tielemans63 Posted 5 June 2018 Posted 5 June 2018 Really hoping that it is Harvey Barnes' chance to shine and I think he could be next season's success story.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 5 June 2018 Posted 5 June 2018 I'll go with Chilwell. Has a blinder and gets an England call up towards the end of the season.
winteriscoming Posted 5 June 2018 Posted 5 June 2018 Just see chodury getting better next season if he plays regualar.
lcfc sheff Posted 5 June 2018 Posted 5 June 2018 Chilwell will shine hopefully, but besides him i'd say Iheanacho
Alf Bentley Posted 5 June 2018 Posted 5 June 2018 Chilwell & Iheanacho. Diabaté & Choudhury might need a bit longer to mature and might still be used sparingly, I reckon. Gray, I'm sorry, but I'm expecting nothing but disappointment......would love to be wrong. Also, how about Kasper? Lots of posters on here seem to want rid of him just because 17-18 wasn't his greatest season. Until last season, he'd been improving consistently and had become a very good keeper. He'll be back to his best in 18-19.
Suzie the Fox Posted 5 June 2018 Posted 5 June 2018 Chilwell for me .. each year he HAS been improving, and yes he makes mistakes but then who doesn't? 2018/19 will be his year ..

Totally agree Alf, last season was not his best but he still had some remarkable moments, sadly humans only seem to remember the bad times and forget the good. He comes across as the sort of person who will work to improve on his mistakes and with 3 good defenders in front of him this year *fingers crossed* im sure he will shine.
Stadt Posted 5 June 2018 Posted 5 June 2018 Elliott Moore had a fantastic season according to some Leuven fans on here, he played in the Hong Kong tournament under Shakey too so I've got a hunch that he'll impress in preseason this time and be a dependable back up option.
AyewJoking Posted 6 June 2018 Posted 6 June 2018 Ricardo will be a sensation before his inevitable 45M transfer to chelsea

RoboFox Posted 6 June 2018 Posted 6 June 2018 Last game of the season, we're second to Man City. They've won their game in hand and are almost guaranteed to win the league, with a +31 goal difference. We're in the middle of an injury crisis, drawing 1-1 with Wolves when Musa comes back into the fray as a substitution in the 70th minute, and goes on to score 30 goals in 20 minutes to win us the Premier League, snatching the golden boot in the process.
lgfualol Posted 6 June 2018 Posted 6 June 2018 I am still holding out hope for our Kapustka. Probably Chilwell.
FLAN Posted 6 June 2018 Posted 6 June 2018 Benny after he scores the winner in WC final as a makeshift striker. Goes on to score 20 goals for us before a big money move to Barcelona
Saxondale Posted 6 June 2018 Posted 6 June 2018 If the last few games of last season are anything to go by, Choudury. I really like him.

A few have posted this, i'm just not sure HOW someone in that position impresses. He's never going to make as much of a ball winning midfielder impact as Kante, and he's not going to be notching assists.... so I just wonder how he will stand out. Not saying he wont do his job well just not sure what you could judge his success on. He seems very much the pivot that will collect the pall from defence and pass into midfield/the wings.
Lovejoy Posted 6 June 2018 Posted 6 June 2018 Adrien Silva will absolutely boss it and in our more rounded tactical approach, score 8+ goals from midfield.

RumbleFox Posted 6 June 2018 Posted 6 June 2018 I'll go with Chilwell, also with an England call up before the end of the season. X
