When did we last have such a dire pre season?

2016-17, when we had those stupid high profile matches all around the world and finished our pre season away to Hull (which strangely had 3 points riding on it)

3 games into pre-season and Leicester fans are all arguing amongst themselves. Can't wait until the games actually matter!

3. They were scrapping on the concourse at meadow lane 45 mins into pre season.

Did we? We had plenty of goals in us that summer- I remember seeing us come from 2-0 down to beat Birmingham.

We look so pedestrian going forward at the minute- so much rests on Maddison's shoulders as it stands.

Started with draws against Mansfield and Lincoln.

Lots of waffling, Bert.

Again, all down to personal expectations. We could come back and win this 3-2 - would you still moan about a pre-season performance?

We've started this match with a makeshift centre-back, a makeshift right-back, a centre-back pretty much past it, a left-back nearing his pro career, a World Cup returnee, Albrighton who has just returned from his injury spell and an underperforming Diabaté.

If you were expecting this lot to click for the full duration of this match, again - good luck with that.

Valencia and Lille still coming up and likely more first-teamers to be involved as we approach the Premier League season opener... So, chill out.

well heres an idea, how about playing the make shift rb who is an actual cb at cb and playing the make shift cb who is actually a rb at rb? what was the excuse for the 2nd part of last season then?

Based on a couple of pre season games lol

We used to lose pre season games all the time under Pearson (I recall losing at Shrewsbury) but when the season came around we were at it.

Today has been poor but people read far to much into pre season.

No based on dog s*** football for the majority of his time here...

Again. You’ve completely ignored my point. You don’t have to be right all the time. I’ve said that it’s poor, they can’t even string two passes together. It’s simple stuff they aren’t doing. They have been playing this system long enough now, even with 6 weeks off to know it. The only thing I’m expecting is that they do the simple things and try. Tell me where they have done (bar Hamza) first half. (Unless you choose to ignore it again to try and save face)

We could win 3-2. But it’s unlikely. So pending a very drastic improvement no I wouldn’t.

Pretty much Premier League teams are facing the same issue due to the World Cup and its implications on the squad, plus the altered transfer window period this summer.

Stop looking at the tree, look at the forest instead.

We can only worry about ourselves. We need to make sure we're in the best possible position to kick off the season in the best possible shape and it's my opinion that we're failing to do so.

If it's just fitness they can go for a jog. Surely we're practising Puel's world beating tactics as well?

You can jog all you like nothing beats playing games against other teams to get you fit.

Got hammered for suggesting Diabete should go on loan. Ive seen nothing to suggest hes capable of playing in the premier league yet.... in fact ive seen a lot more from harvey barnes albeit (not in a leicester shirt though).

Not based on pre season alone but i fear we are in for a miserable season.

That's the Spirit!

He actually tries to play football. "Dog shit football" was what we witnessed under Shakespeare. Puel has come to a club and tried to play football with the likes of Wes Morgan and Danny Simpson.

Just under 2 weeks.

Theres no such thing as a Puel fan....we are Leicester fans who want to see us be successful and at the moment that involves Puel being a success

Well I've read a few people on these boards saying how they expect us to apologise when Puel gets us playing like Barcelona.

I agree on Hamza - best of our bunch for the first half.

Ulloa, King, Mendy, Benny out. Mawson/Gibson/Dakonam + Ziyech in. Then we can do some damage. Currently if Maddison or a CB get inured we're in for a relegation battle.

People banging on about us having “dire” pre-season are basing this on what? So far we’re 2 and a half games in, won 1, drew 1, losing 1. It’s not a disaster is it?

All this whilst missing 10 players for a good chunk of pre-season, 2 of whom still aren’t available.

Chill out.

That probably applies to every team outside the top 6.
