We can only comment on what we've seen and this performance has not been good enough. Not sure what part of that you struggle to comprehend.

It is the hyperbole and wild overreactions that people struggle with I believe, augmented with the apparent inability to see that this is no reason to panic quite yet as it is basically a fitness drill but with fans.  Each to their own obviously but those reacting on here in defence of the team are more asking other posters to see the bigger picture rather than that they are arguing that today's performance is good.

Moreover, those people who are being more positive are tending to REACT to over the top, silly posts rather than being the aggressors and making the first comment in this debate and I find it odd that people seem to get so offended all the time with people challenging their viewpoints, why does it bother you so?

All subjective.

I'm not saying it was mesmerizing - then again, I'm not expecting too much from pre-season friendlies, either.

Think you're twisting what ONE person said.

Maybe, if so he's said it a lot.

No.

But he was trying to get someone else's squad - a squad that has been playing direct and counter attack for the last two/three years - to actually play football.

Every new manager deserves a summer and time to get his players in for the way he wants to play.

If you want to sack him then okay, it's your opinion, but keep sacking managers and we'll eventually go down.

Not if we actually have the brains and get the right one, it was obvious from his time at Southampton we shouldn't have gone near him! I don't care how many managers we go through until we find the right one,Puel is the worst we've had in the premier league since Taylor.

Well I've read a few people on these boards saying how they expect us to apologise when Puel gets us playing like Barcelona.

So if he got us into the CL or won us the league or fa cup you would not hold your hands up and say sorry. Also admit you was wrong. But I bet you will party like fvck if we do.

So you moan about us not being "out there" then you moan about us actually being out there. We did pay the money for Jahansbakh, we blew them out of the water financially, but he's had a relationship with them for three years and chose to go there.

You saying we have no desire to buy someone, looks like total bollocks really if these people are telling the truth. Quite clearly our plans have gone tits up, and that could be no fault of ours as well. Whatever went wrong has left scrabbling to get someone in. But saying there is no desire to replace him just seems like hyperbole.

You're welcome to consider that as "out there". But if your view is the same as those tasked with replacing Mahrez then it's no surprise we're in such a ****ing mess.

We need a top class winger that can score goals and provide  assists and we need him now. We've known that we'd need to replace Mahrez since January. Time for someone to pull their finger out of their arse and get one in and it's high time Vichai got his chequebook out and backed the manager.

We've made the biggest sale in our history by miles and have the recorded monumental profits and we've spent it on a 21 year old, a back up keeper, a right back and a CB that was going on the cheap.

If we only have Gray, Diabate and Albrighton as wingers this time in two weeks then someone needs sacking.

That probably applies to every team outside the top 6.

West Ham, Wolves and Everton  (If they get those who they're linked with) are really improving their squads this window and will be able to handle a few injuries. We're ****ed If Morgan and Diabate have to play a long strecth of games.

Diabate's been poor today. Poor crosses and giving the ball away too many times.

Chilwell has put in 2 lovely crosses though at start of this 2nd half.

I'm expecting something resembling football considering the league starts in 13 days time.

Again. You’ve completely ignored my point. You don’t have to be right all the time. I’ve said that it’s poor, they can’t even string two passes together. It’s simple stuff they aren’t doing. They have been playing this system long enough now, even with 6 weeks off to know it. The only thing I’m expecting is that they do the simple things and try. Tell me where they have done (bar Hamza) first half. (Unless you choose to ignore it again to try and save face)

We could win 3-2. But it’s unlikely. So pending a very drastic improvement no I wouldn’t.

I'm not right all the time, and neither do I want to be right all the time. Deary me, how about ending this premature bullcrap, Bert?

We've not lined up with this personnel before, so I don't see why you're expecting us to suddenly play like Barcelona (sorry for putting words in your mouth).

Udinese are no mugs and are one match ahead in their pre-season.

I'm not particularly entertained by this match myself, but I'm not reading too much into it, either.

I'm not sure- Maddison is taking on a massive amount of responsibility in terms of creativity- if he gets injured, we're looking at an attacking line of Diabate, Iheanacho, Gray. All raw talents, all very inconsistent, all inexperienced. You could say the same about Maddison taking a step up from the Championship I suppose, but he looks a class above all of them.

The less said about us having to play Morgan at the back if Maguire or Evans get injured, the better.

As others have said, Diabate has struggled in every game so far :( this preseason.

Not even just in this preseason, other than against Posh he didn't exactly do much last season either

surely you're not that daft to think that could possibly happen with him as manager with this squad?

We need two rather high-profile wingers (one for each flank).

We have two more weeks to rectify things.

Many other PL teams are facing the same dilemma with regards to their pre-season and the preparation for the new PL campaign.

For all we know, there may be wage issues for us not pursuing more signings at this point in time. Maybe, just maybe, we need to get a few players off the wage bill first...

How is there no reason to panic? We don't appear to have any sort of coherent plan and the season kicks off in 13 days time.

This absolutely is not just a fitness drill.

You do realise that in any deal there are at least three interested parties, quite often significantly more with good players as many clubs will also be interested. You can't just pick a player and sign them, not when you're Leicester. There are numerous things completely out of our control that could have caused us to not get a player over the line.
