He doesn't seem anywhere near the first team right now when everyone is fit.

Don't really understand this tbh but maybe there is a player in there

That he hasn't been involved is a bit mystifiying to me too given that he was quite good at the end of last season when playing with Silva. In fact if anything, he was the better of the two. His only real shocker was against Spurs and to be fair, that's because he was filling in at right back as an emergency after Simpson got injured (if I remember correctly).

But Puel gave him his debut and continued to use him. The Christmas period is always killer so I have no doubt he will get some games in over this time.

Last year I thought he looked promising and it's great that we have another academy graduate getting chances with the team. He's an actual Leicester supporter too, which is a big plus for me.

Signed and like Tom Lawrence needs to go out and play in the Championship.

Remain unconvinced that he has the attributes to be a first team regular however locking down young players who could have careers in the Championship or League 1 at least guarantees transfer revenue - win win in many ways and time will tell but nowhere near ready if we have ambitions to be Top 6 to 8.

He's been out the u23s a bit since his firstborn arrived. Probably the reason he isn't keen on a loan either. Fair enough. The guys got his priorities straight. I hope we see him in the first team again soon. He did fanatically to fit into the first team so well last season. He's certainly got more promise than both Silva and Iborra. And as a local guy, an academy graduate and now internationally capped he's exactly what we want from the academy, and what we want other young players around the country to see too. Chilwell, Hamza and Barnes are the post trophy lcfc success stories and hopefully the future and the beginning.

He starts for the u23s at 7pm this evening against man city.

Lovely. One for the future when Iborra/Silva go.

I think he did well in his cameo appearances last year.  I'd already play him ahead of certainly Silva and probably Iborra to be honest. If we can get anything remotely good financially for those two, at the age they are and how they've failed to fulfil any promise,  particularly Silva,  I'd snap the buyers hand off!

Think this provides the answer..

As he is nowhere near the first team, makes good business sense for championship/league 1 clubs will have to buy out long contract. Shrewd bit of business. Well done Rudkin.

I thought last season he looked more than capable. I’d love to see him stay here and push for Mendys place, Mendy has looked decent but he’s too similar to Wilf in a midfield 2 and I’d like to see Choudhury given a look off the bench or in cup games

How old is he? I have to admit I've rarely seen a player so out of his depth last season. Clearly a trier...but that's hardly enough in elite sport. I remember spurs at home and was horrified when thrown on with a few minutes to go. If he was 16/17 it'd explain it. But he's nearer 21/22 isn't he?

He won’t get a chance playing forty yard cross field passes in dangerous defensive positions ......looked pretty disinterested in the 30 mins I just watched

I only watched the latter part, and apart from giving them a peno, i thought he played quite well.

Think he just turned 21 this month. I thought he did well end of last season especially with the pressure of being thrown in at the deep end. Silva and Iborra are clearly not sharp enough for this league, so I would much rather have an future prospect getting in game time and in fairness he had a few very good games. At Wembley he did struggle a little at right back but then again its a big stage, out of position against some top prem players. We have to support our young academy graduates. Everyone wanted Chilly out but he's turning out to be a great player. England international performing at the highest level now. Barnes is flying it as we all know, I remember hearing he wasn't going to make it as 'he was not good enough' at 18. Some players take their time to develop but you cant expect a top prem player to pop out of an academy without having any prem experience or a couple bad games. Come on.

Was subbed off at HT in the U 23s game tonight ,which could mean he’ll be in the squad to play Watford on Sat

Likely. No Iborra.

 Puel was there watching
