If we beat Utd today, then it will go a good way towards proving we can play with the best, and that the Chelsea Man Cty wins, and Liverpool draw, were less than a fluke than people think.

It would leave us with just the problem of winning against the lesser teams, solve that, and we are on our way again.

Short term it will also give the players sky high confidence in so many ways, so I think today, more than most, is MUST WIN.

Worked well against Cardiff and So’ton  ........ we have bigger issues which perhaps why Tielemans is here to help illustrate

Bet Puel won't play Choudhury. Would like to see  Banrnes on the left and Tilermans in the middle in place of Maddison

I doubt very much Tilermans will start nor should he really as I would be tempted to play the same team as at Liverpool. Perhaps have him on the bench at best. He may even start with Chowdhury in a three like Chelsea and Man City for the first half which I can understand.

Ric Evans Maguire Chills

Mendy Hamza Ndidi

Tielemans Vardy Gray

Are their any more Defensive Mids we can call upon to get Vardy and Gray out of the picture? I don’t need to be seeing goals or actual football at the KP just the art of Defensive midfield play all over the pitch. 1-0 Leicester.

Please play Choudhury.

Choudhury in Leicester win.

Could this be the game we finally click and even sing Claude Puels blue and white armyyyyyyyyy

I hope we go for a midfield two of DM’s and not 3 so we have some attacking players to counter at pace. I’d love it if Youri was one of the two but it may be a bit soon especially as a home debut against Man U!

You don't want Tielmans on the wing trust me. I know they've described him as an "attacking" midfielder in the press but he's not some modern style utility attacker.

He's very much a centre mid, bit of a donky if anything really. He's not going to skin anyone.

He's actually not wildly different in style to Adrien Silva, he'll dribble by people with reasonably good feet more than pace. Bit more solid and stocky than Silva though, less likely to get shrugged off.

Oh and his passes don't tend to mysteriously die about five yards short of the target. Silva must have the softest passing I've ever seen at the top level.

But yeah think more like Drinkwater with slightly better technique. Or Gundogan actually that's probably not the worst comparison.

Amazed you've not yet had a restriction for your rampant sarcasm :)

Add to that an obscene long range shooting ability and set piece artist and he's a ridiculous piece of kit to pitch up at Leicester. Just hope his hearts in it.

Tbf Ric how many times have we signed someone that was meant to be good at set pieces?

I just hope he replaces one of Ndidi or Mendy that’s all rather than one of the forward 3.

Nothing wrong with rampant sarcasm so long as it’s not relentless.

I just want the football to change - always have. Never had a problem with any other element of the CP era. Even if we go 433 with YT in the middle that’d be maybe bearable, I just want it to at least eventually solve/address what happens on the counter when Ndidi wins the ball back and then the runners don’t get the ball quick enough going forward as there is not the range of vision and passing with our resident DM pair. If he can make 4231 work then that’s brilliant but it hasn’t so far in terms of how it might.

I don’t however particularly expect to see YT play today no matter how hopeful I am.

Maddison and that's it, who I must admit hasn't been as good as I thought he'd be. Tielemans is more known for his long range shooting from.open play than set pieces specially but he's very good at them as well.

I've not seen anyone with a shooting technique like his, since Le Tissier where he goes for significant height and dip from distance. Usually you need to be about 45 yards out to get the trajectory but a lot of his goals have been like that, hopefully it's not just dog shit keepers in Belgium as we could do with some of that.

Yeah sorry, it was a tad sarcastic and yes I definitely don’t want him on the wing. I want him to replace one of the two DM’s though eventually and not Maddison or Marc. We need more ball playing bodies going forward not less imo.
